I made butter candles to serve with my homemade sourdough bread for Thanksgiving. This was a fun cooking project. I used ice cube trays to mold the 3 square candles and used food-safe wicks in them. The taller candle was hand-shaped, then rolled in chives.

I used Land O’Lakes butter for these candles and as they melted, we dipped the bread into the puddles of butter. Then we ate it all up! No double dipping allowed. 😋

My American Beauty climbing roses looked so pretty this year! They even make an old, faded fence look better. Actually I love the contrast of the faded fence and the bright roses. They smelled so good too!

I made some refrigerator pickles today. A summer favorite of mine. I live in a townhome with only the tiniest patch of ground but somehow I squeezed in a cucumber plant and a dill plant this year.

I think I will make Lavender Gin and Tonic Punch again this Easter. Last time I mixed them in a giant glass beverage jar with a spout and served them like this with a Peeps garnish.

I am all about pretty cocktails and these were so much fun! I took them to my brother’s house and everyone wanted to try one. I got the recipe over at @sugarandcharm. She always has such cute stuff. 🥰

I just came across this picture on my phone from a couple of years ago. I remember I took it because I was struck by how pretty garden ‘debris’ can be. It’s nearly gardening season where I live (Wilmington, North Carolina). Yay!

I made these fun Christmas Tree breads from a recipe by @jess.cookingmydreams. They were made with puff pastry with pesto between the layers and a star made of cheese. They were the perfect side dish to bring to a Christmas party where pasta was being served. I highly recommend them. 😋

If you can’t find any cranberries left at the grocery store, it’s because of me. I bought them all, lol. I’m making so many cranberry recipes this year.

Today I prepped some cocktail garnishes while I wait for my tequila to get fully infused with cranberries. My recipe is from @dishesdelish. Her instructions called for vodka, but I will be making Spicy Pomegranate Margaritas on Christmas Day, so I’m infusing some tequila instead.

I also made some cranberry simple syrup last night (not shown) using a recipe from @sugarandcharm. I’ll post it after I find the special bottle I bought to serve it in, lol. It’s here in my cabinets somewhere 🥴

I’ll post a pic of the Spicy Pomegranate Margaritas once I make those too. That recipe is from @tippsinthekitch.

I think I want to make these tarts again soon. Not until after Christmas though, that’s for sure. There is way too much holiday stuff going on right now.

The spun sugar garnishes for these are fun to make, although it does make a mess in the kitchen.
