POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

You’ve got BIG plans for Halloween this year. This October, Washington Ensemble Theatre brings you Xquisite Corpse - a surreal immersive playground for monsters and freaks. We’re cooking up a feast of wonderfully odd events, and we’re inviting you to come costumed, masked, in your drag or your drip to revel in an immersive space that’s somewhere between a fever dream and a nightmare.

Creative Director and Installation Artist, Lilia Deering, inspired by boundary pushing wearable art and the surrealist game Exquisite Corpse, has brought together over 20 installation and performing artists to create an immersive world where anyone hungry to stretch their imagination can say yes to bold, playful expression.

Featuring a wide range of offerings, from costuming and puppet workshops, to storytelling and movie nights, the three week long exhibition culminates in the Xquisite Corpse Ball, where all guests are expected to come dressed to impress in their boldest creature couture.

Xquisite Corpse runs October 9th - 31st at Base Camp Studios on 1st Ave in Belltown

Cautionary tales. Folklore. Ghost tales. Pulp mags. Urban legends. Creepypastas. Campfire stories. Encounters with the paranormal.

Human beings all over the globe have been recreationally scaring the shit out of each other ever since we first walked the earth... so let US continue the millennia-old tradition by scaring the shit out of YOU. Old-timey style.

A long-held WET tradition, 6-pack brings 6 writers together to share work along a theme for only 6 buckaroos for entry. This October, it’s “SCARY STORIES.” Gather around the Base Camp(fire) next Friday and let us spin you a yarn. (well, 6 yarns. and some tunes).

🐀 COCO JUSTINO
🦇 HOLLY VANDER HYDE
🏚 CHARLI HAYNES
👻 MADDY NIBBLE
🧜🏻‍♀️ MONTY ROZEMA
🧟‍♂️ DYLAN ZUCATI

…with live music from
🔪 CLAIRE IDSTROM
🕯️“THE MOONEATERS”

Bring your friends. Bring your enemies. Bring a blankie. Bring a priest. Bring a stingray tail. Just be there – next Friday night. Or else man door might hand hook your car door… And we can’t have that.

Ticket @ the link in bio, or show up and jumpscare us at the door. by @theensemble
