Hi, TOHP family 💜🩷🤍

We’re just checking in to say how excited and proud we are that our community is growing! Theatre is for all of us, and we’re gonna keep working to make it accessible.

But girls, it’s WORK! Please do remember that this org is run by three marginalized folks who volunteer their time and energy for free. We ask that y’all work with us not only to amplify these theatre opportunities, but to make the distribution process go smoothly.

Thank you to every single person who’s been a part of the movement — see y’all in thee house ✨

Thank y’all & love y’all,
TOHP COMMUNITY PSA ON RESPONSE TIMES

Hey, y’all! We are so excited about our growing community and our increased reach re. making theatre accessible. We are a tiny group of volunteers happy to continue to do this work — here’s what we ask in return:

IF YOU ENTER ONE OF OUR GIVEAWAYS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHECKING YOUR EMAILS/DMS. Our turnaround time is very quick, and if you don’t respond within the time frame specified for each give away, we will have to give your ticket to the next person. We’ll always try to give enough time for folks who are working, going to school, etc., but we also just have to get tix out. by @theeopenhouseproject

okay yall, since my birthday is on 8/25 i’ve been wanting to do something special for the august 26th @ 7:30pm performance of BOCKING, and now we are in the process of making it happen.

i’m teaming up with BTFA (Black Trans Femmes in the Arts), Baltimore Safe Heaven, Maryland LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, and Thee Open House Project to bring queer & trans folks to Baltimore Center Stage so we can make sure we can provide access to this incredible show for community.

this show is soo special to me and i am so happy to be playing rita day
a woman who gets to exist in this crazy world of BOCKING without being reduced to just one thing. often times when we see the dolls on stage and screen there is a specific reason why they are there and it always pertains to their transness and i’ve been very intentional in my career to build a resume that works against that.

there are many incredible messages in this piece that i know will speak to so many. especially those from all the communities i represent so this is just our way to make sure we can alieviate a barrier to entry.
yall know representation is so important to me!!!

show - wednesday, august 26th
time - 7:30pm
where - baltimore center stage

BTFA is providing transportation from nyc to baltimore (round trip)
and all of the orgs are coming together to get tickets

if you are interested please fill out the google form so we can get a headcount!

if you would like to sponsor a ticket for the folks to see the show please fill out the form in my bio as well! taken in Baltimore Center Stage by @theeopenhouseproject

YALL IM GAGGING I GOT TO INTERVIEW THEE MAYOR OF ALL MAYORS @nycmayor BIG Z FOR SISTV !!!!!!!!

i loved getting to talk to him about why accessibility as it pertains to theater is so important and how we can make Broadway more accessible to the next generation of New Yorkers!

growing up in houston, theater was something i loved but didn’t always have access to so getting to have this conversation about creating more opportunities for the youth to seee shows for free means A LOT to me!

watch my interview + hear more about the city’s new Broadway ticket initiative for NYC high school students!!

and if you’re not a high school student, don’t worry @theeopenhouseproject has got you covered!!!!!

thank you @nileandah for being by my side this day!!!

Many of you know that I am always in need of $11 Million USD after taxes.

Just know that when it manifests, I’m funding @theeopenhouseproject. I am in AWE of the very BRILLIANT thing they’ve done to make theater ACCESSIBLE for marginalized artists.

And y’all…God saw fit to include me in that number!!

The JOY I felt while reading the “Congratulations! You’re going to see @brilliantbway” email could NOT be contained.

What a show and a gift to witness the BRILLIANCE of this show that is heavily influenced by audience participation. I’ve never seen anything like it. And with our FAVE @traceeellisross in her Broadway debut!! EVERYTHING!! I am GRATEFUL.
