If you’re in Downtown Brooklyn, do yourself a favor and stop by @dekalbmarkethallofficial . It’s one of NYC’s coolest food halls, packed with local vendors, diverse flavors, and some of the city’s most creative chefs all under one roof.

One spot you have to add to your list? @fatfowlnewyork . Chef Benjamin has been putting in the work, building a menu that celebrates bold Caribbean flavors with creative twists, and it absolutely shows in every bite.

I finally got to try their viral Oxtail Grilled Cheese (yes, it’s worth every bit of the hype and the dairy! plus the Curry Shrimp Burger OMG, and both were packed with flavor from the first bite to the last. Rich, savory, perfectly seasoned, and the kind of food that has you planning your next visit before you even leave.

This is comfort food with Caribbean soul, elevated without losing what makes it special. Whether you’re a local or just exploring Brooklyn, Fat Fowl needs to be on your foodie bucket list.

Community always finds a way.

This morning I stopped by the Summer aBroad Health Fest hosted by North Broad Renaissance, @northbroad_ @summerabroadphl and while the air quality changed the plans for the outdoor wellness workouts, it definitely didn’t change the energy.

The morning was filled with community resources, conversations, and neighbors coming together. From free fresh produce provided by @farmerjawn_ and other local farms to helpful resources from the Free Library of Philadelphia, it was a reminder that health is about so much more than exercise—it’s about access, connection, and showing up for one another.

One of my favorite moments was the unveiling of the new public mural, created by artists @ydalymer and @michaelagwuart bringing even more color, creativity, and pride to North Broad.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Here’s to building healthier, stronger communities—one event at a time.

Found another coffee spot worth adding to your Philly list.

I tried the banana bread iced matcha, ube shaken espresso, French toast muffin, butter chicken empanada (10/10), and finished with their beautiful mosaic dessert—plus a taste of the salted caramel that I already want again. The empanadas are so delicious, I want several of them!

What I loved most is that MOTW Coffee is more than a café. It grew from the Muslims of the World community with a mission to bring people together through culture, conversation, and coffee.

Sometimes the best way to explore NYC is to wander somewhere that doesn’t even feel like New York.

@littleislandnyc is an architectural masterpiece floating above the Hudson River, where nature, design, and creativity come together. Every path leads to a new view, every hill tells a different story, and it’s the perfect reminder that adventure can be found in the smallest corners of the city.
