Today, the Catholic Church worldwide celebrates the Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed (All Souls Day). We remember all those who have dïëd, our loved ones—family members and friends. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen 🙏 #AllSoulsDay #catholic by @theepistlewriter

Today, the Catholic Church Worldwide celebrates the FEAST OF ALL SAINTS! It is said that, SAINTS ARE ORDINARY MEN AND WOMEN WHO LIVED ORDINARY LIVES IN AN EXTRAORDINARY WAY! The Saints we celebrate today in the Catholic Church were not born as special people, neither were they born sinless. They were born the same way as you and I, in the same world and in circumstances that are similar to ours. Oftentimes, when you read about the Saints in the church, you'll get to see that some were walking with God from the beginning while others were walking in sin before turning back to God to walk in holiness. Apart from the Saints we celebrate today, there are many more out there who are yet to be known, recognized and even canonized. So it means that you and I can also walk towards Sainthood. Not because of the name and title that comes with it, but because we are walking in a way that pleases God. You must not necessarily be celebrated as a "Saint," before you know that you are one. We are called to live just like the Saints we celebrate today. Being ordinary people, and living ordinary lives, but in extraordinary ways. Now, you might want to ask - "HOW CAN ONE LIVE EXTRAORDINARILY?" This will take me to the Gospel reading of today taken from Matthew 5:1-12a. When we read through this Scripture, we see Jesus teaching the Beatitudes. When we live according to what Jesus taught in this Scripture, we'll see ourselves walking in "extraordinary ways," ways that please God. DO YOU WANT TO ATTAIN SAINTHOOD? Then, you should - Be Merciful, Be Meek, Be a Peacemaker, Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness, Gladly accept all Persecution for the sake of Christ, etc. Go and read the Scripture 😊 When you're done reading the Scripture, examine yourself to see if you're abiding according to God's commands or not. To please God and be recognized as a Saint before Him, WALK IN HOLINESS and ABIDE BY HIS COMMANDS! PS: Check the comment section for the rest! by @theepistlewriter

THANK YOU, JESUS for a beautiful month of October. November is a testimony filled month for all of us in Jesus' name. Amen 🙏 by @theepistlewriter
Look at the great people we celebrate today. ‎ ‎If they are asked and they tell you their story, you will see that greatness takes a process. ‎ ‎Like I would always say, growth is a process, and in the same way, greatness also follows a process. ‎ ‎Just ensure you put in the work consistently, you see that greatness that you look up to, you will surely get there, it's just a matter of time. ‎ ‎And that time, is GOD'S TIME. #Godstime #greatness #theepistlewriter by @theepistlewriter
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 - ESV). #fearnot #Godshelp #aiart #ViralReels by @theepistlewriter
‎Today's first reading taken from Ephesians 5:21-33 is a beautiful reading that talks about and admonishes husbands and wives. ‎ ‎When we read through the Scripture, we see that Apostle Paul gave a very balanced message. ‎ ‎He spoke to husbands and he also spoke to wives. ‎ ‎Now, this post will be divided into two. I will elaborate on what Apostle Paul said. Trust me, my message will also be balanced 😊 ‎ ‎I'll be directing this both to husbands and wives. So pick your own message either as a husband or wife, read, learn and do ☺️ ‎ ‎Can we begin? 😊 ‎ ‎~~~ ‎ ‎DEAR HUSBANDS, ‎ ‎In Apostle Paul's message to you, there was a line that struck me and made me ponder a bit. ‎ ‎And that line was, "...He who loves his wife loves himself..." ‎ ‎I was like, "Hmmm... So if a man does not love his wife, it means that he does not love himself." ‎ ‎Dear husbands, do you see? ‎ ‎That statement should make you reflect. If you do not "love your wife," it means that you do not "love yourself." ‎ ‎Now, note that "loving your wife" is not just in words. It transcends that. If you say you love your wife, it will show in your actions. ‎ ‎Because you cannot claim to love yourself and starve yourself of food. Loving yourself is not just in words, it is backed by actions. In the same way, loving your wife should not just be in words, it should be backed by actions. ‎ ‎Therefore, the next time you are asked if you love your wife and you say, "Yes," ensure that when we check, your love for her will be seen in your actions and not just in words alone. ‎ ‎I don't think I need to tell you what to do to show your love in action. Or should I? ☺️ ‎ ‎Let me just give a few - Know what she appreciates and do them. Take care of her. Pray for her. Assist around the house. Take care of the children. Send her money. Be a responsible husband and father. Stand as a Priest over her and your children. Etc. ‎ ‎I don try na, complete the rest 😁 ‎ ‎When you read through the Scripture, you'll see that husbands are called to do what? ‎ ‎TO LOVE THEIR WIVES! ‎ ‎Read another line from the Scripture, "...Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church..." ‎ ‎PS: Check the comment section for the rest! by @theepistlewriter
As much as you admire King David, remember that he suffered hatred, and many attacks on his life before he rose to become King. ‎ ‎As much as you admire Job, remember that he once lost everything he had and he also almost lost his life before God restored everything he lost and blessed his latter days more than his beginning. ‎ ‎As much as you admire Queen Esther, remember that she was in exile in a strange land and she and her people were also under threat before she rose to become a queen and then saved her life and the lives of her people. ‎ ‎As much as you admire Jesus, remember that he suffered rejection and went to the cross before He was exalted and is now seated at the right hand of God. ‎ ‎So, admire greatness and allow it to be a motivation for you to walk towards it, but always remember that there is a process that is followed before greatness is achieved. #greatness #theepistlewriter by @theepistlewriter
Look at Joseph in the Bible. ‎ ‎Joseph suffered hatred, slavery, and imprisonment before he finally rose to become a Prime Minister. ‎ ‎If you had met him as a Prime Minister, it would have been very easy for you to not think about the process it took him to get to that point, you would only look at the greatness and admire it. ‎ ‎But as much as you admire greatness, always remember that there was a process the person followed before getting to that point of greatness. #greatness #theepistlewriter by @theepistlewriter
‎Many times, we see the beauty, the success, the glory, etc, but we do not often see the pain and the tears that came before it. ‎ ‎We see people and celebrate them, we celebrate their greatness, their success, their achievements, their glory, but we most times do not think about the pain and tears that came before it. ‎ ‎Every great person today has a backstory. ‎ ‎Every successful person today has a success story. ‎ ‎They did not get to that greatness overnight. ‎ ‎There were seasons of frustrations, pains, and tears before the success came. #greatness #theepistlewriter by @theepistlewriter
