First I want to start off by saying ALLAH IS THE MOST GRACIOUS, THE MOST MERCIFUL. Last year in May, I graduated and had no idea what I was going to do. I kept my faith and knew Allah would guide me in the path he has paved for me. I prayed so hard for this day and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t think yall understandddd, Middle Georgia Project Nurture program, crammed 2 years worth of work into ONE year😭. The stressing, crying, second thoughts, and praying was all worth it.

I am graduating from Middle Georgia State University with my Masters of Arts in Teaching. Graduating with a 3.8 GPA, 1000+ hours, and 50+ service hours. I am the youngest out of 41 that’s in my program and I’m super proud of each and every one of us. I am now apart of the 9% of black people with a Master’s 🤩🤩🤩 I DID IT!

I oath to stress to my students how important knowledge is and to not limit themselves. I will instill determination, dedication and morals in my students. It is now my duty to ensure the future generation understands and walk in their purpose.

Last year my stole had Surah Ad-Duha, Ayat 4 on it and it read “Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by.” This is indeed better for me and I can’t wait to see what else God has planned for me.

“Ms. Shakir is determined, determined she is, determined her and her students will WIN!”

Signing out, AGAIN,
