Last month, we lost our matriarch, my grandmother, in a tragic accident. Her passing has led me to reflect on the memories that shaped me. I vividly remember discovering old passports at her house, captivated by the stories of her travels. Growing up, I was fortunate to witness the love my family shared, their commitment to God and community, and their passion for life.

My grandmother instilled in me a caring spirit, a knack for storytelling, and a love for her family and friends. From her commitment to God, 38 year nursing career, and feisty spirit as she was the original for standing on business. She could light up any room with her smile and infectious laughter. Her legacy lives on and will continue despite her physical absence. She lived a remarkable life and was cherished by all who knew her. Through the ups and downs, love was always our foundation.

Wishing a Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day to my grandmother. Memaw, You will forever live on in our hearts.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women nurturing the next generation ❤️❤️❤️❤️
