I believe the best communities are built by people before they’re built by brands, so I thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

Here are a few things that have shaped how I think, what I value, and why I do what I do.

If we’ve only just met, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

And if you’ve been here for a while, thank you for being part of this journey.

Comment “YES” if you’d love to experience what I’m building.

I think one of the most beautiful things about being a woman is that you don’t have to fit into one box.

For so long, we’ve been made to feel like we have to choose one over the other, but why should we?

You can be strong and soft, driven and playful, independent and connected. You can embrace every side of yourself without feeling the need to explain it.

There’s room for all of her, and that’s the beauty of it.💚

It’s easy to get caught up in how we look, how we present ourselves and how other people perceive us.

But there’s so much more to being a person than having a pretty face or looking put together.

It’s in your character, your kindness, your relationships, your growth, your values and the little things that make you who you are.

Take care of how you look, but don’t forget to give just as much attention to the person you are becoming.

Some days will feel heavier than others, and even when you think you’re doing okay, life can still catch you off guard.

But one difficult day doesn’t mean you have a difficult life. Sometimes, the moments that feel overwhelming now become nothing more than a small part of your story.

So, if today hasn’t been kind to you, take a breath. you don’t have to figure everything out right now. give yourself the grace to rest, let the day pass, and try again tomorrow.

Save this for the days when you need a little reminder that things can get better.

Have you ever felt guilty for resting because there’s still so much you could be doing?

I used to think every free moment had to be productive. Even when I had time to myself, I’d find something to tick off my to-do list instead of simply enjoying the moment.

But I’m learning that life isn’t just about how much you accomplish. It’s also about making room for the little things that make you feel alive, spending time with people you love, and resting without feeling like you have to earn it.

Which of these do you need to do more often?

If you want to feel like you belong somewhere, sometimes you have to be brave enough to create the space first.

That’s probably my favorite part of building this community.

Women may arrive as strangers, but somewhere between the conversations, the awkward first swings and all the laughter, something shifts.

They start finding their people, and I get to stand back and think, this is exactly why I built it.

I used to think networking meant introducing myself to as many people as possible, exchanging contacts, and hoping something came out of it.

But I realised that meeting people and actually connecting with them are two very different things.

The more intentional I became about listening, showing genuine interest, and following up after conversations, the more meaningful my connections became.

Building a community is about more than getting people in the room. It’s about creating a space where they feel seen, connected, and excited to return.

These are 7 lessons that have shaped how I build community, and I’m still learning along the way.

If you’re building a community too, save this. And tell me, what makes you feel like you truly belong somewhere?

1. I still have moments where I wonder if people will actually show up. Every event can look beautiful once everyone is there, but people don’t see the part before that, the checking registrations, the planning, the wondering if the idea you believe in will mean enough to someone else to leave their house and come.

2. Creating a community doesn’t mean I always feel connected. I can be in a room full of women I brought together and still have moments where I feel completely in my own head.

3. I still overthink whether people enjoyed themselves. After an event, I can remember 50 women laughing, connecting and having a great time…and somehow my brain will find the one thing that could’ve gone better.

4. I sometimes feel responsible for everyone’s experience. If someone is standing alone, I notice. If the energy feels slightly off, I notice. If someone isn’t engaging, I wonder what we could’ve done differently. I’ve had to learn that creating the space and controlling everyone’s experience are not the same thing.

5. Building community has made me realize how much women actually need connection, including me. I didn’t create Eve’s Golf Club because I had friendship and belonging completely figured out. In many ways, building it has been teaching me what those things actually mean.

6. I’m still learning that community doesn’t have to be huge to be meaningful. Sometimes the moment that matters isn’t a packed event. It’s two women exchanging numbers. Someone coming alone and leaving with a friend. A woman trying something she was terrified to try because she felt safe enough to do it here.

7. And maybe that’s the biggest thing I’m learning: I don’t have to be the woman who has community completely figured out to be the woman who creates space for it.

Maybe that’s why I care so much about building it.

Because sometimes we create the spaces we need too.

Golf can be about so much more than perfecting your swing.

It can be the friendships you didn’t expect, the rooms you almost talked yourself out of entering, the trips you’ll never forget, and the women who make every experience a little better.

So, don’t just focus on getting better at golf. Let yourself experience everything that comes with it.

Which of these seven experiences is still on your list?
