I attended the 3i Africa Summit 2026 intending to cover all three days and document the conversations shaping Africa’s future across innovation, investment, and impact.

Unexpectedly, during Day 1, I had a medical emergency and had to be rushed to the hospital by the ambulance team on site, which meant I couldn’t continue with the rest of the summit as planned.

Still, I didn’t want to completely abandon the story.

Because beyond the headlines and high-level speeches, one message stood out strongly throughout the conversations:

Africa does not only need innovation, investment, and impact; it also needs implementation.

This video is my attempt at reflecting on why these conversations matter, especially for young Africans, fintech ecosystems, and the future of our economies.

Also… this is my very first time attempting to cover and creatively document a corporate event in this way, while also teaching myself how to edit along the way 😅

So I’d genuinely appreciate constructive feedback:

* What worked?
* What could be improved?
* What would you like to see more of in future corporate/event storytelling content?

We grow by learning publicly.

Work brought me back to KNUST, and I decided to pass by the Directorate of Student Affairs @dosaknust.

While I was there, I walked into the office distributing food to needy students through the Food Bank I initiated in October 2019.

Seeing it still running… 7 years later… did something to me 🥺

Partnering with management to sustain this “baby” of mine was a strategy I strongly believed in, and today, I’m reminded why. It’s still serving, still reaching students, still making a difference.

My heart swelled with pride, chale.
