COCK SPARRER!! ♥️ So so grateful to see Cock Sparrer again and so bittersweet it might be the last. Love this band so much and it was such a gift to sing these songs with a sea of people just as happy and stoked as I was. So amazing of @generationrecords and @cocksparrer to do a signing as well 😩 Love @cocksparrer forever! ♥️😭🫶🫶🫶 by @theeternaldance

My (Great) Uncle Johnny would have been 80 today (technically yesterday since my posting is late) but he passed earlier this year.
He was my closest relative outside my immediate family. He had many skills in life and had always always been a hard worker and humble to a fault. He was goofy, witty and kindhearted.

He was a helicopter crew chief, worked on parts for submarines, helped maintain a vineyard, did masonry, carpentry, painting, landscaping and gardening. He lived simply. I don’t think he’s ever even owned a tv. He liked to read books and nat geo magazines. He was a creature of habit and rarely deviated from his routine people and places.

The “Johnny” stories are countless. The sheer amount of crazy and/or hilarious tales from his life almost don’t seem real when you add them all up. This could be said for a lot Bray/Gala/Boldt memories but Johnny seemed to be at the center of most of them. It will provide us with endless amusement and laughter, with some stories only being funny after the fact of course 😹

If I had one word to describe him it would be “innocent”. While no one is perfect or flawless, he was the best natured person I have ever met.

Many times we’d talk about God, religion, philosophy, astrology, culture and especially nature. Animals, insects, the weather, flowers, fruit, vegetables lol. Nature never ceased to amaze him.

The best thing I admire about my Uncle John is how he treated everyone with the same dignity and respect. It could be family or a stranger, a child or an adult. He would say that was his greatest achievement.

I will always celebrate his presence in our lives and wish him love, freedom and safekeeping on the other side.

Some pics and vids from Friday night, wish I took more! Everyone was great, Buffalo is so lucky to have such amazing local bands and it was fun as hell having a Mohawk place variety show with all the vibes. It was good to connect and see some faces I haven’t seen in a minute.
I set up an altar in the window box to petition the Spirits of Rock n Roll to aid Mohawk in seeing another day 🙏❤️‍🔥✨
(Thanks for helping @agoogoomuck)
I was also delighted to see so many ladies put little rose buds in their hair from the flowers I put on the stage. It was the cutest 🥰
Giant Thank You to the Mohawk staff 🖤 🥹
