You spend enough time around wedding décor and eventually you stop seeing “a taper candle” and start seeing a beautiful, high-maintenance colleague who requires constant attention but is absolutely worth having on the team.

We love these little guys. The attention seekers. The overachievers. The ones doing all the heavy lifting. The ones contributing absolutely nothing operationally but looking incredible while they do it.

Every piece has a job to do, every detail adds something to the room, and apparently, somewhere along the way, we gave them all personalities.

Occupational hazard of loving wedding styling this much.

“Alexa, chase my RSVPs.”

If only.

The frustrating thing about late RSVPs isn’t just the chasing. It’s that your guest numbers feed into so many other parts of the wedding. Final catering numbers. Seating plans. Table layouts. Place cards. Dietary requirements. Signage. Furniture.

Our advice? Don’t make your RSVP deadline the same week your venue or caterer needs final numbers. Give yourself a buffer. There will almost always be someone you need to follow up with, and it’s much nicer doing that without three other deadlines looming.

One of those very unglamorous little wedding-planning decisions that future you will be extremely grateful for.

A space can completely transform when the right people bring a vision to life. 🤍

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming @theeventartists to The Stables, where they created these beautiful table settings within our venue.

From the soft linens and florals to the layered textures, candlelight and smallest details at each place setting, it was incredible to see their styling take shape against the timber, open spaces and paddock views that make The Stables what it is.

It’s one of our favourite parts of opening The Stables to weddings, providing the backdrop, then watching talented local vendors and each couple bring their own style and story into the space.

We love to see our florals making their debut of the day. 🌸

Holly with her bouquet. Her girls each carrying their own piece of the floral story. And over with the boys, a full team effort underway to get everyone’s buttonholes pinned on just right - so damn wholesome!

We loved creating the florals for Holly and Oliver’s day, from Holly’s layered bouquet of soft blush, deep burgundy and sculptural blooms, to the bridesmaids’ en masse bouquets and those beautiful buttonholes.

Wedding flowers are a part of the day from the very beginning, woven into all those small, special moments before the “I do”.
