Today, we are honoring Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark. Dr. Clark was one of the few Black Psychologists whose work focused on child development and racial prejudice. Her work was prominent in the most famous case of Brown V. Board of Education.

We are grateful and appreciative of the groundbreaking work, Dr. Clark began in the psychology field.

How can we continue to support the mental health of Black children today? Let's chat below 👇🏾

This Black History Month, we are highlighting Women’s and Children's Mental Health through our series: "Her Mind, Her Future"; where we will honor historical and current day Black mental health practitioners and advocates for women and children's mental health, and we will also be sharing information on continued ways for healing.

Did you know?

• In 2022, 77% of college students experienced moderate to serious psychological distress.

• 35% of college students were diagnosed with anxiety and 27% had depression.

We are working to equip our college students, especially our First Year students with tools to build up their mental toughness. We are hosting our first Mental Health CPR ™ Workshop: College Edition.

We will help them develop a mental wellness plan, teach strategies to use, learn how to navigate mental health resources on campus and more.

We don't want them to just survive but also thrive their first year.

You don't want to miss this.

CAPACITY IS LIMITED.
