What an absolute amazing weekend me and Isla have had! 🥹🌿🧡

We were kindly invited by @vango.outdoor @campwild.uk and the @brandwaveteam to celebrate Vango’s 60th Birthday at a family event!

We stayed at a beautiful, remote and peaceful place in the Yorkshire Dales - @nethergillfarm 🌿
Dave and his family were so warm, helpful and welcoming!

Food was served by @offthebeatenpot throughout the weekend and was incredibly delicious! Isla even enjoyed tasting the Orzo salad and Bangers and Mash! 🥘

There were lots to do from Nature trails, find the Mr Men by @mrmenofficial and @farshorebooks (who provided the most amazing certificates and books!), A pop up Sauna, live music, roasting Marshmallows, watching stunning sunsets and so much more!

Best of all, we got to meet all the other amazing and beautiful families who went! 🫶🏽
Isla absolutely loved playing with all the other children, it was so cute to watch how they all interacted with her 🥰

We honestly couldn’t have been more grateful for this opportunity! The team from all were so accommodating, easy to talk to and very helpful. They really made mine and Isla’s first camping trip together a memorable one 🧡

It’s exactly what we needed, and…. Isla has completed her FIRST EVER CAMP 🥹

Plenty more to come now! ⛺️🌿

My name is Billie and this is my daughter Isla.

I’ve started a fresh new account to document our journeys and the places we explore together.
We’re currently doing the Wainwright Challenge (which I completed in May 23) so most our time is spent in the Lakes.
We do still explore loads of other places tho!

Wether you have kids or your don’t, I’m still a girl in her 30’s who loved hiking, camping, waterfalls, wild swimming, sunrises, sunsets, food in cool places, mountain snacks and everything’s inbetween before I had Isla, and I still do now.

Just this time, I get to introduce and share all of this with my beautiful daughter who I hope will one day grow up to love and enjoy it as much as I do!

About this morning’s sunrise though 😍

Helvellyn, you certainly showed up!

Was absolutely worth the 3am wake up and 4am set off from Middlesbrough haha.

Was a little skeptical at first when reaching the summit and all we could see was grey clouds 😂
But then 10 minutes after reaching the summit, it changed!

A cracking morning if I must say so.

Have you ever visited one of the most beautiful gardens in Keswick? 🌺🌿

📍Hope Park

This place is just as beautiful on a moody rainy day as it is on a bright sunny day!

It’s just a short stroll from Keswick centre and has plenty to offer for everybody including, games for the kids, mini golf, a bird hide, nature trails, picnic areas and a cafe to grab a bite to eat and drink which offers indoor and outdoor seating.

Derwentwater Lake is also a 2 minute walk from here where you can enjoy views across to Catbells, Walla Crag and many other surrounding fells.

A must visit place if you’re in Keswick 🫶🏽🌿

Pumpkin picking with the girls 🎃💜

And it was back to @spilman_farming for Isla’s 2nd year and Sofia’s 3rd year!

We love this place! There’s so much to do for the children and of course lots of cute photo opportunities 📸

Wish we could have spent a little longer there but we ran out of time!

Have you visited this beautiful location whilst in the Lake District? 🍂

📍Rydal Grot - Rydal Hall

The Grot was built in 1668 by Sir Daniel Fleming and designed as a place to frame and enjoy the spectacular Rydal Falls. It is one of Britain’s earliest examples of a viewing station.

William Wordsworth was particularly fond of the Grot, writing about it in one of his earlier poems ‘An Evening Walk’ and visiting with his nephew shortly before his death.

You can actually go inside the Grot and sit by the window, peaceful enjoying the view.

Worth putting on the list of places to see!

Monk Park Farm 🐮🐑

What a great place this is to visit with kids!

There’s so much to see and do. Lots of different animals to see and so many activities to do from the playgrounds, barrel rides, indoor play, sand pits, trampolines and more!

This is 2 separate visits, one where me and Isla went and then we took her big cousin Sofia we loved it that much!

Situated in Thirsk - North Yorkshire. If you haven’t been, we highly recommend putting it on your list ☺️🌿

Went to clear my head and only ended it with more questions.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park 🌿🐅🦭

Isla’s first time at the zoo!

I just loved watching her point at everything, it was the cutest thing ever!
And she particularly loved chasing the tiger that was going up and down😂

I forgot just how big this place was! We got to take our time which was better for Isla.

A worthy day out!🌿

Get to know us! A little re-introduction 🌿🩷

As we’ve had a few new followers and haven’t posted too much lately, I thought I’d do a little re-introduction!

So hey 👋🏽
My names Billie and this is an account I’ve created to share mine and my daughter’s adventures.

We’re currently ticking off the Wainwright’s as and when we can in the Lake District. I’ve already completed all 214 and now I’m on a mission to have Isla complete them all too.
It’s taking quite a bit of time but this is due to us doing other things too!

We love to attend events where we get to meet lots of new people and other families🫶🏽 and create content to inspire other Mama’s/families to get out and about.

I’m a single Mama doing this with just Isla and I’m going to start sharing more about that and how I find each trip we go on.

It easy to highlight the best of everything on Instagram but I’ve always wanted to stay true and real.
