***** facial massage *****

when I started incorporating facial massage into practice, the intention was to offer something different than your average massage.

by adapting massage skills and developing new techniques through workshops & courses, I was able to integrate them into a holistic experience.

registered massage therapy is not about offering any aesthetic or sculpting work, as this is not within our scope of practice as health professionals, but rather about reinforcing the parasympathetic shift that is oh so important to improving overall health.

through intentional touch and focus on the muscles of the face, neck and head, we can move into this state where healing and renewal begins.

if you are navigating some stress or difficult lodge circumstances, or simply wish to support your mental health, then this service is absolutely for you.

not to change how you look, but instead, help change how you FEEL.

any questions let me know below. 👇

in health,

Melysa 💕

*** rate increase ***

with rising costs and inflation, I will be raising my massage therapy rates effective February 1st.

as a sole provider my business has certain business expenses that can be higher than normal, and unfortunately I do need to replace things now and again.

this is my primary source of income and while I would love to keep the rate the same, it’s just not feasible. when you consider the impact of late cancellations, no-shows, rescheduling, weather and people getting sick ( myself included ) it affects my ability to take care of myself and my financial obligations.

I understand that this may become a barrier for some with limited benefits, and I encourage you to reach out to me to discuss your situation.

as always I appreciate my clients continued support and trust in my care as an RMT.

hope to continue over the years to come!

with health 💕

~ feeling the love!!! ~

it’s always an amazing feeling to know that I have made someone feel better. the thing that people often overlook in their massage therapy sessions, is HOW important the nervous system is to recovery. and treating that first and foremost is crucial in asking the body to heal.

thank you for trusting me with knowing how to treat you. 🥰

✨ if you have a face….. try facial massage therapy! ✨

for several years I have been focusing on building my skills & techniques, to create a service that brings me so much joy to provide. yes ME! 🫣

and I will tell you exactly why…..

there are many benefits of massage therapy, that I can confidently say that in my 13+ years, and combined trainings, that THIS is the best treatment I provide.

the esthetics community will tell you it sculpts your face. you will hear the word “snatched” often in marketing.

and - sure. there is an improvement in the appearance of your skin, but it IS temporary. just like any toning exercise, repeated treatments is needed to make a more permanent change.

it truly goes beyond that. ☺️

however I am soooo less concerned about that and more on how it makes you FEEL.

the face and neck is like any other area - when we have restrictions in our fascia & soft tissue, it can restrict the lymph & cellular fluid, and create tension in the muscles of our face, head & neck.
treating ALL of this is important to allow the magic to happen.

trust me…….. 😊

you will LOVE this treatment that I have created & I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

~ healing ~

the truth is that healing begins in your own body. the parasympathetic nervous system’ supports the rest & digestion our body needs to adequately begin the healing process.

we can nurture this with diet, proper sleep, stress reduction and daily movement, and massage therapy can 100% help to support and promote the PNS shift.

for we are not healing you, we are merely facilitating it.

ask me how massage can help you achieve your health goals 🙂

healthy thoughts,

💗 Melysa

~ call me late to the party on this one 😂 ~

ok so we are talking about areas of the body that we rarely (if ever!) get worked on, and when we do it’s not an intentional practice.

but ….. you can have a dedicated head neck & face massage with an RMT for MANY therapeutic benefits.

why get a facial massage with me???

let me tell you!

#1. it feels amazing. obviously 😛

#2. the extensive motor/sensory sensitivity in the face can be stimulated by massage, to stimulate substantial nervous system activity. or: extreme relaxation 😊

#3. has benefits on headaches, postural tension, stress & anxiety symptoms, sinusitis, jaw pain ( more on this to come ! ) and helps to promote healthy lymph clearing

#4. due to the extensive fascial connections of the muscles from the chest over the head, can help alleviate discomfort in other parts of the body.

YES! because it is ALL connected!!

sooooooo….. when would you like to come in? 😜

💗 happy belated Valentine’s Day 💗

I know I know - I’m a little late. 😂

but anyway…….
I’m not a big fan of any commercial idea of love, but i absolutely LOVE to show people that they are important to me. 🥰

sometimes the smallest gestures can have the biggest impact on someone’s day, or mood, and in the go-go-go lifestyle we tend to forget how simple it can be to show someone you care.

now listen - i have some truly amazing clients. but like any small business, i could use a few more! 🙃

if you know anyone who is struggling with things like:

- TMJD
- whiplash
- headaches or migraines
- neck &/or shoulder tension
- anxiety or depression
- any other upper body condition

OR would like to try a facial massage or ear reflexology & massage combo - please give them my name!

and if you really want to show me some love ❤️
please share a review about your experience on google. it would mean the whole to me. 🥰

sending you love, today and every day 💗
