LOCAL UPDATE: Earlier this week on June 1st, the Westchester County Board of Legislators celebrated the start of Pride Month by honoring Croton Pride, recognizing is community organization and dedication to LGBTQ+ connection, advocacy, and celebration.

County Legislator Emiljana Ulaj (District 9) offered opening remarks and announced that June 2nd is recognized as Croton Pride Day across the county.

@crotonpride Co-Founders Elisa Silverglade Rader and The Black Cow’s very own co-owner, Faith Rivers, were present to accept the award, with Elisa offering timely and important remarks on the importance of celebrating pride, as well as the critical work that must be continued by all to ensure further protections and critical support for the community, which have been under attack.

@blackcowcroton It's a new chapter for The Black Cow! Our Head Roaster, Cole Rivers, and his wife Faith are taking the helm and will be running the flagship location of The Black Cow. Cole has been with the Cow for 16 years now and his wife has worked in retail management for 2 decades.

"We are so grateful for the community institution the Grant family built and made possible in Croton. We look forward to carrying the torch now, making opportunities, great coffee, and a welcoming space available to this community we cherish. With the staff and management we built this summer, we are happy to take the reins from Michael, Peggy, and Zoe with gratitude."
