Thursday Night Football Throwback

On December 3, 2015 — Aaron Rodgers launched one of the most iconic Hail Marys in NFL history.
A 61-yard rainbow into the Detroit night… and Richard Rodgers came down with it.
Packers win, 27–23. The Motown Miracle was born. 💚💛

Where does it rank among the greatest Hail Marys ever?

In the spirit of the 2016 throwback trend here is an awards ceremony style look back on those we lost in the 2015 season I made in January 2016. The #FLAFFL Awards were one and done but there a lot of shows doing these now. I’m passive aggressively taking credit. #2016 #fantasyfootball by @theffhistorian

There are a few that do Fantasy Football Festivus Episodes now but in 2016 the FLAFFL House brought it to you first. I miss doing these shows and I’d put them up against anything being done today. by @theffhistorian

Tom Brady threw FIVE touchdowns in ONE QUARTER in a snowstorm.

On October 18, 2009 Foxborough turned into a blizzard, and Brady turned into a video game.
He threw five touchdown passes in the second quarter alone, the most in NFL history, as the Patriots destroyed the Titans 59–0.
Randy Moss? 8 for 129 and 3 TDs. Wes Welker? 10 for 150 and 2 more.
If you had a Patriot in fantasy that day, you won before halftime.

Be honest — is this the greatest snow-game ever… or does another one beat it for you?

On This Date October 17, 1994

Monday Night Football.
Two legends.
One drive we’ll never forget.

Joe Montana: 34/54, 393 yds, 3 TDs
John Elway: 263 yds, 3 total TDs
The Broncos took the lead late… but with 1:29 left, Montana went full Joe Cool mode 9 plays, 75 yards, game-winner to Willie Davis with 8 seconds remaining.

Final: Chiefs 31, Broncos 28.
Pure quarterback poetry.

Which clutch QB moment tops your list?

On This Date — October 15, 2006

LaDainian Tomlinson was in a league of his own.
💥 31 carries, 135 total yards
💥 4 touchdowns
💥 44.9 PPR points

This game kicked off the stretch that made him a legend — eight straight multi-TD weeks and a record-setting 31-touchdown season.

When people say “LT was a cheat code,” this is the moment they’re talking about. ⚡

Who remembers rostering him that year? 🙌

Two RBs. One unforgettable Sunday.

🐐 Adrian Peterson — 224 yards & 3 TDs vs Chicago
⚡ LaDainian Tomlinson — 198 yards & 4 TDs vs Oakland

The rookie announced his arrival… the MVP reminded everyone who still ruled fantasy.
Which back would you have rather started that week?

On This Date in Fantasy Football History (October 13, 2013)
Vernon Davis gave us a reminder of just how dominant a tight end could be.
8 catches, 180 yards, and 2 touchdowns — including scores of 61 and 35 yards.
A monster 38-point PPR day that ranks among the best tight end performances of the decade.
He was too fast for linebackers, too strong for safeties, and too much for fantasy benches.

💭 Did you start Vernon Davis that week, or did he break your matchup in half?

Breaking news: the Browns just fumbled the Dubble Bubble sponsorship along with the game. Somewhere, a sideline intern is chewing in shame.
