Introducing The Fitzgerald Arts Foundation.

The Fitzgerald Arts Foundation is dedicated to expanding access to the arts through community outreach, arts education, and volunteer engagement.

Our mission is to foster creativity and strengthen communities through meaningful artistic experiences. Through volunteer-created artwork, handwritten messages of encouragement, and educational art resources, we aim to make the arts more accessible while creating moments of connection for those we serve.

We are proud to support organizations across the United States bringing initiatives that combine creativity, education, and compassion.

We believe the arts have the power to inspire and enrich lives.

AOÛT ART SPOTLIGHT ✨

Did you know? Jackson Pollock transformed the act of painting itself. Rather than working only at an easel, he famously placed canvases on the floor, moving around them as he poured, dripped, and splattered paint from different directions. His movements became part of the artwork, helping define what became known as Action Painting.

Pollock’s technique created intricate layers of line, color, movement, and rhythm, making the process of creating a painting nearly as important as the finished work.

JUILLET ART SPOTLIGHT ✨

Did you know? Mark Rothko believed art could communicate powerful emotions without showing people, landscapes, or objects.

Using large fields of color, he hoped viewers would pause, reflect, and experience feelings such as peace, wonder, hope, or contemplation in their own unique way.

We Love History ✨

The past has a remarkable way of shaping the present. From masterworks in museums to the people and events that have influenced our communities, we believe there is always something to learn from what came before.

At The Fitzgerald Arts Foundation, we recognize that every painting, artist, and artifact has a story to tell, and that preserving those stories matters.

Here’s a small piece of ours.

This photograph shows the Edmund Fitzgerald, a Great Lakes freighter named in honor of Edmund Fitzgerald, an entrepreneur whose accomplishments left a lasting mark on American industry and who holds a special place in our family’s history.

JUIN ART SPOTLIGHT ✨

Did you know? Pablo Picasso’s first recorded painting was of a horse when he was just eight years old.

Throughout his life, horses remained a recurring source of inspiration, appearing in many of his most celebrated works.

What’s Next ✨

We are beginning partnerships with community organizations across Colorado, DC, and New York to share the work of our volunteers.

Our first initiatives will focus on therapeutic riding centers, veterans’ homes, and other organizations where handmade artwork and community support can make a meaningful impact.

We look forward to sharing our journey with you.
