First time entering an all-styles battle IN skates. I really had no idea what the outcome would be. Thanks to @moovottawa & @vsdassociation / @vsdfestival_ for creating this event so I can try something new! 🫶🏽
Shout out to the judges @everydayjk47 @jeri_hao2 (and the crowd) for being open.
I hope this inspires dancers/people to try rollerskating. Also to remind ppl that skate culture is a part of hip hop culture ✌🏽

When in New York… 🥀💐

One of my battle rounds from @waackerholic

Steve lacy mentioned something about genre vs. energy, and it spoke to me because so often I feel like I can only explain things in energy instead of genre. When I hear this Kaytranada and Janet mix it makes me smile ear 2 ear, but when I tap into it I hear a yearning and a type of coming to terms with what we are not… maybe that’s why my intuition took me this way 💓 I had so much fun exchanging with inspiration @che.rapture, really grateful for this moment together. Thank you @waackerholic NYC! I will be back 🤩

If you’re doing something different, just know it’ll take longer and If you can accept that then enjoy the ride 😘

Thank you @hunter.ham for the capture 🤩 taken in Queens, New York by @thefloormonarchs

#HappyInternationalDanceDay
In celebration and gratitude for today (and everyday), we’re thankful that we’re able to do what we love, and share our passion with one another and our community. Dance is what brought us together and will continuously bring people together until the end of time.
