📍 Forde, Horsforth After recently moving to Horsforth I was so excited to try Forde again! They kindly invited me to try their new menu and it did not disappoint! Firstly the atmosphere and service is absolutely incredible, Alex was serving us and huge shoutout to him as he made our experience (along with the food of course 😋). So attentive and personable - thank you Alex & team! 🍷 THE WINE!!!! If you come here please order the Primitivo, it was sensational and an absolute must if you fancy a bottle of red. 🍽️ THE FOOD: 1. Beef tomato with whipped goats cheese & a zingy cucumber salad filling. Super fresh and complemented so well by the tangy goats cheese 🍅 2. Halloumi & padron pepper skewers with hot honey 🍯 cooked really well but wasn’t sure on the honey (personal preference though!) 3. Fish finger katsu curry - amazing! It was so good to have this as a coeliac as it’s a rarity I can order things like this 4. Roasted carrot and mustard salad with a nutty puree - delicious and was one of my fave dishes 5. Steak bourguignon - sensational and the best thing we ordered 6. Truffle and Parmesan potatoes It’s brilliant that the owner is a coeliac as it means everything in the menu is already GF or can be safely adapted - so if you’re also coeliac it’s one to get on your list! Thank you @thefordehorsforth I will of course be back! #horsforth #leedseats #restaurantleeds by @thefordehorsforth

📣 Sad announcement UPDATE 📣 Another long one I’m afraid!….. We gave up trying. After doing everything we knew how to resolve the situation with the atrium seating, we ran out of options. We made a hard decision that was right for the company, our staff and our customers and as so many of you know, we announced our decision on social media. We expected people to be angry and disappointed, which is why we wanted to give plenty of notice, so we didn’t let anyone down. But you guys blew us away. Instead of being angry you SHOUTED words of encouragement, support and love in your thousands! You inboxed us with technical & legal advice, came in to the restaurant to cheer us on in person and shake our hands, tagged MP’s, caught the attention of the papers & radio and started hashtags to keep the support loud on social media! To name but a few things. We will never ever be able to thank you sufficiently for all of your support, in all of its forms, but we CAN tell you that it worked!!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!! You shouted so loud for us that the Council heard us!!! We have been allowed to keep the seating area😍! We have to pay some more money to be allowed to keep it there, but providing it’s affordable, we have permission to keep it - just as it is! No words will ever be big enough. No thanks can ever reach far enough. So instead we’re going to do what we do best and get you tipsy 🤭. As a very small gesture of thanks, we’d like to invite you all to come and enjoy the atrium seating and have a glass of something delicious on us. At any point in September please feel free to walk in and demand your thanks-ini 🍸🤣. This will be the first of many thank you’s! It will take us years to repay you all as there were SO many of you doing such ENORMOUS things! But providing the cost of the atrium seating isn’t too high, we will now be STAYING PUT and will keep trying as long as we’re still standing! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We love you all 💚🫶🏼 by @thefordehorsforth

Matt, Holly & the gang! by @thefordehorsforth
