Introducing: The Gothic Walking Stones!626lbs/284.5kg total weight The stones are mainly for walking but can be used as a lighter double stone lift as well. The weight on these (according to my crane scale) are 315lbs (143kg) and 311lbs (141kg). They are granite stone and the rings are the Rogue replica Dinnie Stone rings. In creating these stones I’m trying to make this a destination for stone lifters. There is not a huge culture on the west coast so I am just trying to do my part in the love for it so have a place people can come (through appointment only) and have a go at some challenging stones of various types i.e natural stone lifts, walking stones, and ringed lifts. The second of the walking stones has been found. The rough weight on these is 320lbs and 300lbs but, once I have them bolted and ringed, I’ll get a more accurate weight on them. A little face lift for the lifting area of the Fountain Stones, as well as an addition of a natural stone lifting area. This is The Stone Yard! Haha decorative AND functional. Working on a pair of lighter walking stones as well. Discovering stone lifting has brought something special into my life. The purity of it is the best. I thank Scotland for that more than anything. 5/18/25 @adamvansusteren returned to become the first person to do a side by side lift of the Fountain Stones. First attempt was hard fought but after adjusting the big stone he made easy work of it. Congrats brother!
