HERE 👇🏻 Rome is a special city! There, I said it! We typically don’t love the major tourist cities because they lose their charm. However, Rome truly has to be one of the most fascinating places on the earth, given the magnitude of its history, that still lay so present everywhere around the city. 💾 SAVE this for your next trip to Italy! I (Fran) visited for a long weekend back in 2021 and was honestly blown away. Things we wish we knew before visiting: Lake Bled, Slovenia 🇸🇮✨ This is one place we’ve been wanting visit for a very long time, but there never seemed to be ‘super cheap’ flight deals like some of the ones you can get from London airports. But for our anniversary last year, I planned a surprise trip for Josh’s birthday, using zero annual leave, we did a whistle stop tour! Thing we wish we knew before visiting? - it’s super easy to get here by car from Ljubljana (and the airport), it’s just 45 minutes away which makes it the perfect day trip from the city. - there’s so much more to do here than we thought apart from just ‘seeing the island on the lake’ - there is SO many beautiful hikes around the lake that’ll give you incredible views overlooking the lake - to come here when there’s less tourists, aim for March - May and October - December - you can very easily walk around the entire lake, it’s pathed and will take 1-5-2 hours depending on how many photos you stop to take - the best views and hike were the 1 hour to Osojnica and 20 minutes on from that to Mala Osojnica - Bled town is small but cute to have a stroll around - there’s a castle here which also provides some great views but it’ll be crowded All in all, we would recommend spending a whole day here, depending on how much hiking you’re planning on doing you’ll could extend that into an overnight. You can explore further to the Julian Alps or Vintgar Gorge nearby! Yosemite diaries pt 1 🏞️ An absolutely amazing couple of crazy days in the park along with an insane amount of miles… was undoubtedly worth it! Yesterday I had the chance to attend my first @sonyalphafemale event at @cypressmtn in Vancouver, BC. 📍 Lofoten, Norway ⬇️⬇️⬇️ . . . Well worth the 7.5 hour drive, through a snow storm, from Tromso to the Lofoten Fjords. The waters were crystal clear as soon as we arrived, driving through valleys and Mountains to reach our end point. Anyone else? 🙋🏼‍♀️ You never know what you’re missing out on until you take to the sky 🛫 There’s just something about seeing something from a birds-eye view isn’t there! 🦅 Flying on a plane/ helicopter or flying a drone is the closest we can get to seeing these types of views! 🚁 Ever since I tried flying a drone for the first time, I then had to get my own drone straight away! Thanks @djiglobal! Being able to capture adventures on our travels is amazing, and also shows us views that we might never be able to on the ground! After 3 years of being together, Josh finally flew it for the first time at the weekend too! Who’s the travel drone flying here?
