What did this past Friday look like at The Garden? Worship, fellowship, and diving into James 4.

We were challenged to consider: What do we have to mourn? What sin, desires, or passions need to be grieved before God? What passions captivate us more than Jesus?
And ultimately, what are we waiting for to draw near to God?

We’re so encouraged by the ways our community continues to grow, not only in our love for learning God’s Word, but in our desire to live it out.

REMINDER THIS FRIDAY, THERE IS NO GARDEN as we’ll be away at our Fall MENŌ Retreat! 🍂

We’ll see you back at The Garden on:
🗓️ OCT. 16 | 7 PM
📍 439 MEACHAM AVE.

James 3 reminds us that our words have far more power than we realize. Like a small rudder steering a massive ship, our tongues can shape the direction of our relationships and our community.

But James takes it deeper. Our words reveal what’s happening in our hearts. We can’t praise God with our mouths while tearing down people who are made in His image. If we want our words to change, we need God to transform what’s within us.

The good news? We don’t have to tame the tongue on our own. What we cannot do in our own strength, Jesus can transform in us.

Who is God inviting you to forgive or seek forgiveness from? What’s in your heart that may be keeping you from extending mercy? 🌿

SEE YOU NEXT FRIDAY FOR ANOTHER GARDEN!!
