All My Love | A Live Camera Dance 🎥Projecting a live feed while dancing - stretched in as many creative ways as possible. It was a journey of faith, this one. The audacity to risk so much for a live performance. A lot of finances, logistics, and mental energy. And trust - we didn’t know this would work until the week of. A brother came up to me afterwards, telling me this performance was like a cleansing to him. This project marks an inflection point in my creative journey. More to come..@_outerclass, what a gift it has been. Thank you for being my dance home base for the last 2 years. I will miss dancing alongside you all, but I am so incredibly excited for the future of the community 🤍A project this size takes a village. Listerine | Reverse ChoreographyAh man, been wanting to try this concept for a while. I love the synth-ey, warpy feel of this song and felt like it was a good match.I haven't been this challenged by a concept in a while. I knew that choreographing in reverse was going to be hard, but holy moly. I spent unreasonable hours figuring things out for it to still look a mess the first few weeks. These dancers are all all-stars, so patient with me as my mind was getting deep fried trying to learn a new dimension of movement. A lot of research - and surprisingly math - was put into this process (along with trial and error).That said, I hope it shows how much fun we had making this. All star cast for sure. Hope you enjoy! 🎮🫂I turned myself into a video game! And made an animated dance. This idea was just too good to pass. I straight up bought a DS for this lol. My goofy self really thought I could make this in one week (it took three 😭) not realizing how ambitious it would be. 5 interactive backgrounds (top + bottom screen), over 20 assets, And over 400 AI-generated stills of me - animated frame. by. frame. This is definitely getting a behind-the-scenes 👾 How can we put soul into any expedition we choose to explore? I love how Porter Robinson puts elements of humanity into his computer-generated art. In anticipation of @youngthegiant ‘s upcoming album, releasing in May: snippets of their yet-to-be-released songs!These are unreleased songs from the album (besides the second piece, which released as a single - we filmed this back in Jan). We were dancing to audio from their live sets. No good quality audio exists of the third song, so we used a recording I took at Red Rocks. So much excitement that I wanted to make something with the friends! 🪩 @youngthegiant if you see this… Heyo! I’m that same guy who camped outside the Troubadour for 8 hours. I’m also a dancer 🪩 Man, It’d be a dream to do something dance-y for yall. Album is already so 🔥🔥🔥 so far, and I hope yall feel the love for this upcoming release! When your concept switches halfway through… ⏯️Highlight from my latest dance class at @lmnlspace_ !Got to celebrate my latest year around the sun with a commemorative dance class. Much love to the friends who came and showed some love! 🤍Playing with a new format for a dance class. This dance features two songs, and in groups, dancers got to choose the second song they danced to - in real time (check stories for a breakdown) 🕺The vibes were incredible. The full performance is 5 minutes long, and it is magical. I can’t wait to share that one soon 🪩#dance by @thegenekim

I wasn’t going to make a video but a close friend encouraged me to share!Context: Young the Giant is playing my favorite album of all time, “Mind over Matter” for one night only. I never thought I’d see the day they’d do this, but it’s in celebration of the album’s 10-year anniversary. This is one of the most formative albums of my 20s and being at this concert would feel like a monumental experience.Concert tickets sold out immediately on release - the venue (Troubadour) only holds 500 people. I was one of the 10000 people that waited in the cue (a record for the venue) that couldn’t get a spot.There are scalpers selling tickets as unreasonable prices, but that is tricky for a couple reasons: 1) buying from scalpers only encourages the practice of scalping, 2) the venue verifies tickets by checking ID, and tickets carry the name of the person who initally bought them; 3) in transparency, I don’t have the funds to buy an upcharged ticket right now. So, here we are now. I’ll be documenting the journey on my stories - hopefully I’ll be able to get in! #youngthegiant #mindovermatter by @thegenekim
