Here’s another painting I made for Magic: The Gathering. These are featured in the limited run Secret Lair drops, and we made it on the box art! 🧪🦏🐖🦠

Thanks to @theteabeard for helping me source the card and box art photo! You’re awesome, brotha 🤘

Here’s some of the artwork I created for Magic: The Gathering 🐢

After painting the turtle tots for NECA years ago, I never thought I would get the opportunity again. When Magic dropped into my DMs and specifically asked for this I was thrilled!

In this episode of TURTLE TRACKS PODCAST, host Brian VanHooker interviews artist Daniel Elson, who worked on packaging art for NECA Toys, specifically many of the early VHS-style boxes for the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line. Elson breaks down the details of the artwork for Mondo Gecko, Metalhead, the Pizza Monster and more while also explaining how the work of Greg Martin on the original TMNT cartoon VHS art inspired them. @theghostofdaniel @necaofficial #tmnt

Harley Quinn season 4 premieres today! Here’s the promo art I painted. Characters by @shaneglines. Anyone want to guess how many meetings were had about the red tip color on the rocket?

Last year’s SDCC exclusive for the Neca TMNT line. Somewhere along the way to the printing press… the floor layers on the painting got turned off and a massive printing error happened (swipe to see the box). Not a single person noticed even at Comic Con. Never heard a peep.

So here’s the full art for the first time. And if you bought a set with this box art, well… I guess it’s just doubled in value.

I just want to post this because it has a permanent place in my memory. Sad to see the Cartoon Network studio close after spending so many years there. It was so nice to see so many friends again, and I wish everyone the best at the new studio and beyond! Thanks for the good times #cartoonnetwork taken in Cartoon Network Studios by @theghostofdaniel

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham 🦇 I’m really happy to see this movie finally getting released! It feels like we finished preproduction forever ago. I was afraid it might vanish like some other WB movies.

This was adapted from a @artofmm graphic novel, and directed (and art directed) by @_samliu_ - Sam you killed it! The trailer looks terrific!

Pizza Monster illustration I painted for @necaofficial’s TMNT line. Based on a doodle by @frozenyoda who’s now moved on to become design director for McFarlane Toys.

The 3rd pic is the original illustration submitted for approval with Nickelodeon. It was rejected. See if you can spot the differences for a little insight in addressing corporate notes.
