We dove straight into the Alien universe this year. Mike has always been obsessed with the franchise and the Xenomorphs, so when he asked to become one, there was a tiny condition… I had to suit up as Ellen Ripley.

So I built the alien pod, pulled together Ripley’s look, and yes… Newt came along too. Hours of crafting, sewing, painting, and pure movie-fan dedication.

Seeing Mike fully transformed was everything. This one was for him, and honestly, I think it might be his best Halloween ever.

Happy Halloween, crew. Remember: stay alert, trust no one, and keep Newt safe.

It wasn’t supposed to last. Some of my favorite memories are with people I’ll never speak to again. That’s the quiet ache of life… whole chapters of laughter, love, and late-night talks can vanish without a single goodbye. Sometimes people fade softly into the background. Sometimes you realize it’s better to let go. Either way, what remains are echoes of something that once felt like everything.

As I ride into the night, the cool autumn breeze brushes my skin, the wind tangles my hair, the Rockaway Beach boardwalk hums beneath my wheels. Fireworks crackle in the distance… little reminders that beauty still waits ahead, that amazing people are still to come. And even though it hurts… not because the moments weren’t real, but because the story was never meant to last… I wouldn’t erase a single second.

Because in those fleeting nights we were exactly who we needed to be for each other. Some people are blessings, some are lessons, some are both. And though our voices no longer meet, the memories don’t disappear. 💥 I really believe in hyping your friends the way you hype yourself. Because I know, as an artist, every time I share my music, step on stage, or post something online, I’m hoping someone out there will lift it up too. That’s why, when my friends are creating, I make it a point to show up and show out. I don’t just want them to feel supported — I want them to feel seen. Just me, my morning coffee, a handful of raspberries, and of course… spilled milk foam. ☕🍓 I’ve been working on upping my video game lately, even with the simple everyday moments. I know it’s not groundbreaking to watch me drink coffee, but I’d love for you to check out the last few videos I’ve made and let me know if you like the style.

Also, how do you take your coffee? I know it might seem weird, but I add honey to mine and I love it.

Kate Clark’s pieces are nothing short of extraordinary. Her hybrid sculptures merge human faces with animal bodies in a way that feels primal, mythic, and deeply moving. While standing in front of one of her creatures, I almost fell in love, as if he were real. I felt the slight burn of tears in my eyes, and I could have sat there for an hour just staring at his face.

Her work has traveled the world and lives in major collections, but seeing it in person at Art With Sand In Its Teeth, part of PORTAL Rockaway at Fort Tilden, was something else entirely. Fragile yet powerful, human yet animal, her sculptures challenge how we see identity and remind us of our place in the natural world.

I will be sharing a full video on the show soon because there were so many incredible artists featured, but today I am still in awe of Kate Clark. Her art is metaphor, myth, and pure magic.

We celebrated my friend Drew’s birthday on the rooftop at The Rockaway Hotel and it was a moment. Huge thanks to our fabulous host Bettina for pulling it all together. Rooftop vibes, stars overhead, Manhattan skyline across the bay… honestly, perfection. And of course, I live for Drew’s spirit and that laugh. Seeing everyone celebrate him was everything. 🥂✨

🍂 Why wait for the weekend when a Wednesday night in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown can feel this good?

@themisterladd and I went up to the historic @tarrytownmusichall with friends @love__marianne and her husband John to see and hear @emmetirishtenor and @celticthundermusic The music was awesome, the hall was beautiful, and wandering around town in the fall just felt perfect. 🎶✨

For the last year and a half, my world was on hold to make sure my mom was safe while living with dementia. That meant saying no to concerts, dinners, dates, beach days, trips, my career, and even time with friends.

Since June, with some much-needed help, I’ve been slowly remembering who I was before all of this. Nights like this remind me that I can feel alive again — ready to say yes, ready to enjoy these little adventures, ready to just be myself again. 💙

❤️ Every stitch of Lady Capulet’s wardrobe was chosen to tell her story, not only in color but in silhouette.

I began with a playful Pucci inspired rhinestone gown in reds, pinks, and blues. The blues were intentional, as Lady Capulet begins with no deep quarrel with the Montagues, and the gown reflects that fragile openness. Loose and breezy silhouettes supported this lightness.

As the play unfolds, the colors deepen. Cherry red with white accents give way to maroon and burgundy after Tybalt’s death. The silhouettes also change, becoming sharper and more structured as grief and vengeance settle in.

During the run of the show I experimented with adding a hoop skirt under Tybalt’s scene but ultimately found that saving it for the finale gave the most powerful impact. By the last act Lady Capulet is dressed entirely in black, framed by the strongest silhouette of all.

The costume journey became its own storytelling, moving from playful to tragic, from open to closed, from light to heavy. Designing and creating this wardrobe allowed me to embody Lady Capulet not only through Shakespeare’s words but through color, fabric, and form.

💔 One of the most intimate moments in Romeo and Juliet — Lady Capulet and Juliet in quiet conversation.

Here, I press her to marry for duty rather than love, reminding her that in Verona, obligation outweighs desire. Lady Capulet herself is trapped by the same fate, married so young to Lord Capulet that her own wishes were never truly her own.

And the irony isn’t lost on me. I grew up in an environment where what I wanted was never good enough for my own parents. That parallel made this scene especially raw — performing it with @jeniece.v.brown as Juliet, I could feel both the character’s story and my own weaving together.

⚡️ Playing Lady Capulet, I always found it difficult to hold back my rage for what happens to her… the loss, the bloodshed, the endless tragedy.

So I imagined her differently. Not silent, not weeping, but fierce: sword drawn, lightning flashing, ready to take Verona’s fate into her own hands. 🌩️⚔️

This is how her story should go… not only a grieving mother, but a warrior matriarch. Part tragedy, part fantasy, and maybe just a little camp. 😉

“Speak briefly, can you like of Paris’ love?” 💍
That’s me, Lady Capulet, Act 1 Scene 3 — doing my best infomercial voice for Verona’s hottest bachelor. Paris has money, looks, and family ties… what’s not to like?

Except Juliet. 🙄 My girl is serving teenage side-eye like “Mom, seriously?” And of course the Nurse is right there, turning this moment into her own podcast episode about baby Juliet. Wrong place, wrong time, girl!

Balancing mom duties, family politics, and a daughter who’d rather do anything than marry rich? Tough. Doing it with the Nurse rambling on for 45 minutes? Nearly impossible. 🎭
