POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Nobody really talks about how hard it is to start again after you’ve gained a significant amount of weight. Not the physical part. The mental part. The conversations you have with yourself before you ever press play. The fear of being seen starting over. The frustration of knowing what your body used to be capable of while standing in a body that feels different today. This is where I am, and I’m choosing to show it anyway. I chose the rebounder because it’s gentle on my joints while still giving me an incredible workout. As a mom to a now 5-year-old, I need movement that challenges me without leaving me unable to show up the next day. I still have a little boy who wants to play, clients who deserve my best, and a life I’m rebuilding. This isn’t about punishment. It’s about rebuilding. One workout. One choice. One promise to myself kept. I’m not waiting until I look different to share my journey. I’m sharing it because this is what real transformation looks like. I’m documenting this journey in real time—not because I have it all figured out, but because I know someone else is standing exactly where I was, wondering if today should be Day One. This is your reminder that it can be. Day One. Aśe. 🖤 by @thegodbodyrah

✨♟️Five years. Five years of carrying more than my body was ever meant to hold. Not just the physical weight… the weight of survival. The weight of fear. The weight of scarcity. The weight of abandoning myself while trying to hold everything else together. Today is my first official weigh-in. The number isn’t the story. It’s simply the place where I decided to stop negotiating with the life I know I’m here to live. This journey isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about removing everything that convinced me I wasn’t already her. Every workout. Every nourishing meal. Every boundary. Every walk. Every prayer. Every choice. They’re all acts of remembrance. I’m documenting this because healing deserves to be witnessed in real time—not just celebrated after the transformation is finished. There will be victories. There will be hard days. There will be moments where I have to choose my future over my familiar. And every single time… I will choose myself. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve carried the weight of pain, fear, or lack longer than you’ve carried peace… walk with me. Not because we’re chasing a new identity… but because we’re returning to the one that has always lived within us. Today, I release every identity built from survival. Today, I walk as my healed self. ✨ ☥ When my mother was only 23 years old, she sat at the feet of master teachers, studying the knowledge they were kicking. At five years old, I sat right beside her. I didn’t know it then, but while she was learning, so was I. Looking back, I realize those moments were planting seeds long before I understood what they meant. And although my conscious mind wandered through years of conditioning and forgetting, I don’t believe my soul ever did. Those seeds remained alive within me, waiting for the right season to awaken. Then came life. School. The world. The pressure to become. The constant noise telling me who I should be, what I should believe, and how I should define myself. Like so many of us… I forgot. Not my name. Not my story. But my essence. Years later, life brought me back to the very wisdom that had surrounded me as a little girl. This time, I wasn’t hearing it through the ears of a child. I was receiving it through the lived experiences of a woman. That’s when I realized… The deepest alchemy was never about changing my essence. It was always about transmuting everything that made me forget it. In that moment, I understood that remembrance isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to what has always been. ☥ Know thyself. Not as a mantra. Not as information. But as a lived initiation. A lifelong remembrance. For me, one of the reminders that continues to anchor this journey is: I. Self. Law. Am. Master. ISLAM. Not merely as an acronym… But as a daily invitation to remember that mastery begins within. ☥ ✨ by @thegodbodyrah
