This was unexpected, but it let us know we’re doing something right. After our tour of the Go-Go Museum , these two young men were so inspired that they asked for my autograph.

In a world where so many of our youth are encouraged to value things with no substance—things that often destroy their communities—moments like this remind me why we do the work.

We keep it real. We make sure young people leave knowing they are the future and that they have a responsibility to preserve our culture, strengthen their communities, and pass on values that will outlive all of us. That’s how we keep the culture—and so much more—alive.

True story! Two years ago, He picked me up in a Uber in Baltimore. Now, here we are, watching him hit the big stage at Soul on the Water @piersixpavilion in the same city.

Moments like this remind me that everything comes full circle. It’s God’s way of confirming that we’re simply vessels He uses to fulfill His purpose. Grateful to witness the journey and excited to see what’s next for them because @huedatband is on the way to something big. 🙏🏾✨♥️🔥 by @thegogomuseum

Young Men of Phelps Recognition Ceremony 🎉

Take a look back at our Young Men of Phelps Recognition Ceremony. It was a special celebration honoring a year of growth, leadership, service, and purpose.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Go Go Museum for opening its doors and partnering with Street Love to make this event possible. Your hospitality helped create a memorable experience as we celebrated these outstanding young men and all they accomplished throughout the year.

Through service to their school and community, these young men learned what it means to lead with character, live with purpose, and positively impact those around them. We couldn’t be more proud of each of them and the example they’re setting for the next generation.

Congratulations to every Young Man of Phelps. This recognition is well deserved, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of you.
