It’s a new album from @thegolfdolls! The garage punk philosophers are back with a 3rd album, Decalcomania, their first release in five years!!

Decalcomania is a marathon, not a sprint. Clocking in at 17 songs over 70 minutes, the album is an expansive collection of sound, thought and King Gizzard esque experimentation. Each track is set into its own world, basing grooves around 80s/90s punk sentiments with equally fuzzy guitars and vocals leading the way. At times it’s bright and poppy, at others its surfy or grungy or in spoken word, but all done in a warm, DIY aesthetic that makes it feel cohesive. To say the least, it is an ambitious project. To say a little more, it’s a damn cool one. Sit yourself down, grab a drink, and let Golf Dolls take you through the self contained universe that is Decalcomania.

Released December 5 by @thegolfdolls

Rap music?! Isn’t that what’s turning all the kids delinquent?!? Please join us this Sunday October 11 at @theburoak for a night of rock & roll infused with nerdcore rap (or is it the other way around…?) courtesy of @coolzeyisalive and @schafferthedarklord , currently touring the nation in their satanic blood van of horror and death. We will once again have a pair of Special Guest Players joining us on some songs. @fadedfrancis kicks things off!

We had a BLAST playing the legendary @blindpig_annarbor as part of day 1 of @fuzz_festival number 11 alongside @surfvirga, @modernladyfitness , @trouble_clinic , @kozy_detroit , @twin____freaks , @rosestgermaine , @katsteih , @good_mans_brother , @humanskullband , and @bluesnaggletoothmusic , all of whom showed us their own unique facet of the kickass rock and roll music which Detroiters play as naturally as they breathe. Refreshing, to say the least! A big thanks to Chris of @mazinga_rock and Blue Snaggletooth for inviting us! #Detroitrocknroll #detroitpunk #fuzzfest11 #fuzzfestival #annarbor by @thegolfdolls
