👋 Hi! Frustrated artist here! 🤗
⚜️ Thoughts • Reverie • Nightmares • Daydreams ⚜️
🤍 Welcome to the little world of The Good Prince Diary 🤍

POSTS STORIES REELS

"Once upon a time, there was a runaway girl, walking alone... searching for the other side."

I’ll be participating in the annual art celebration of @inktober and, of course, the #auroctober by her majesty, @auroraph.mothership ✨

For now, The Good Prince will rest. 😊

In celebration of my favorite artist, @auroramusic, and the "All My Demon Greeting Me As A Friend" album, I’ll be using her as the main character of my journal entry this year and her music. Her journey will be guided by the Inktober and Auroctober prompts, one day at a time. (I'll just try to complete it 😅).

I’ll be using ink, pen and watercolor as my mediums..and of course, NO AI for my arts!!! 🎨

Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish all the prompts (I know the last prompts for last week of the Auroctober will be one of my struggle, since I'll be using Tomora songs 😅...

I hope that you’ll walk alongside her journey through my art, too!! See you on the other side!!!🤗🌙🦋

This is journey is dedicated -

To Alll
The Demons
that haunts us relentlessly;

May they, too,
one day
Greet you as a
Friend.

🦋🦋🦋

Dear Fellow Moths,

This is my first time joining #auroctober , created by @_moonlit.days and @auroraph.mothership , and my third time participating in the @inktober challenge.

This little world was brought to life through watercolor, pen, ink, and paper. Each prompt was inspired by three core elements:

Maiden, Moth, and Moon.

My favorite artist, AURORA, became the Maiden; the life cycle of a moth served as the main storyline; and the Moon, if you look closely, quietly guided each prompt through its actual phases throughout the month. Together, they became the heart of this little world.

And, of course, I couldn't resist weaving in a little piece of our own mythology, drawing inspiration from Haliya, the Bicolano Moon Goddess and warrior, and the tale of the Bakunawa, the moon eating serpent.

But beyond the story, the drawings, and the little world I created, what made this journey truly special was sharing it with all of you.

To my old friends who have stayed, to the new souls I've met along the way, and to everyone who took a moment to interact with my arts - thank you. Thank you for every comment, like, share, kind words, and little exchange that made this journey feels less like alone and more like wandering through every prompts together.

You may not realize it, but every interaction we made has meant so much to me.

And perhaps that is what this entire journey has taught me: sometimes, the things we once feared can become the very things that teach us how to love.

Because our demons, I believe, are the sacred monsters of our shadows, our shames, and our failures. They embody the possibility of embracing our imperfections, reminding us that even the parts of ourselves we struggle to accept may one day become the very things that set us free.

So, to everyone who walked beside the Moon Moth Maiden, even for just a little while, thank you for being part of her story, and for allowing her to become a little part of yours, too.

Until the moon calls us home again,
and the old stories awaken once more.

May your by @thegoodprincediary

Act IV

Waning Gibbous 🌖

And so, the Moon Moth Maiden returned beneath the silver moon, her wings spread wide.

She no longer feared the things that once haunted her. One by one, she greeted her demons, no longer as enemies, but as old friends.

For she had learned that not every monster needed slaying, nor every darkness needed light.

Some only needed to be understood.

And there she stood no longer afraid of her own becoming, at peace with the creatures within.

A Moon Moth Maiden, in all her glory.
And if that wasn't a flex, then what was?

Act IV

Waning Gibbous 🌖

The war had begun.
The Moon Moth Maiden faced the Bakunawa, the devourer of moons. To the giant serpent, the last moon looked no more than a cookie. But to the creatures of the night, it was their light - their home.

“This is not right,” the Maiden whispered.

Perhaps the Bakunawa was not meant to be an enemy, but a friend yet to be found.

Under her command, hundreds of moths danced around the giant serpent until its fury subsided.

And so, the war ended - not in bloodshed, but in friendship.

The last moon remained untouched.

And for the ever hungry Bakunawa?
A giant cookie would have to suffice.

Act IV

Waning Gibbous 🌖

From the depths of the heavens, a colossal serpent arose, its enormous tusks gleaming beneath the dying moonlight.

The Bakunawa: The moon-eating demon.

Six moons had already vanished into its insatiable jaws. Now, only one remained—the final light in a sky destined to fall into darkness.

Beneath the heavens, she stood upon the jagged remains of its fallen kin, their ancient tusks scattered like the bones of forgotten gods.

The wind howled around her. Her enormous moth wings trembled against the weight of the night.

She looked up at the monstrous serpent, knowing deep within her that there was no one else who could stand against it.

There was only one moon left.
And she would not let it fall.

“I need to defeat this demon.”

And then,
her eyes fell upon the tomb jars beside the very tree where she had once cocooned herself.

She approached them and gently embraced one, opening it as though unveiling a trophy.

“Please,” she whispered, “teach me how to fly.”

And from within the ancient jars, the moths emerged.

One by one, then dozens, then hundreds -
a thousand fluttering wings awakened beneath the moonlight.

They rose into the night, swirling around her in a luminous dance, their delicate wings catching the silver glow of the Hunter’s Moon.

She watched in wonder as they soared effortlessly through the darkness.

Act IV

Waning Gibbous 🌕

Upon emerging from the cocoon, she could hardly comprehend what had become of The Thing that once stirred upon her back.

Now, it had grown into a pair of enormous, heavy moth wings.

She tried to move them. Once. Twice.

Nothing.

She stumbled forward, only to be dragged dumbly back down to earth, her newfound wings too heavy and unfamiliar to obey her.

Still, she persisted, fumbling with her strange new form, trying to understand how to carry the weight of her own becoming.

Then -

a sudden growl pierced the silence of the witching hour.

The creatures of the night froze.

And in the blink of an eye, they scattered into the darkness, leaving her alone beneath the Hunter's Moon.
