If you love Grangetown and want to help keep it looking good, come along to our October Litterpick! We’ll be cleaning up Clive Street and the streets around on Saturday 24 October between 10am - 12pm. Meeting 10am at the Penhevad Street junction. All kit is provided and we love seeing kids and dogs join in (with a responsible adult 😀). All you need to do is turn up with a smile and wearing weather-appropriate gear!

As usual we’ll be treated to free refreshments afterwards by our lovely friends Bryony, Bunny and the team at @thegrangepub. What better way to get to know your neighbours and make a difference to where you live!

And don’t forget we now have very snazzy Keep Grangetown Tidy T-shirts for our regular litterpickers! You’ll get a T-shirt to wear proudly when you’ve completed 4 litterpicks with us 👕

Excited to announce we’ll be joined by artists from @bottegaproject and Bud and some of the team of volunteers from @grange_pavilion (as part of a project we’ll all be collaborating on - more info to follow). And there’ll also be a reporter from @itvcymruwales filming some of the action (with permission of course).

If you know the Grange then you’ll know Bunny, and if you know Bunny then you’ll know he’s one of the goodest eggs around, he’s also a master of dad jokes and what he doesn’t know about beer could fit on a postage stamp. But what you might NOT know, is that he’s also in one of the best technical death metal bands in Wales @virology_official and it’s their debut album launch next week at @hangar18mv in Swansea (not at the grange. I’ll be there listening to steely Dan)

Diolch/ thanks to everyone who joined us at our September #BigCardiffTidy Litterpick this morning! In 2 hours our 24 fantastic volunteers (including 7 young helpers and 2 dogs) cleared 26 bags of litter from Taff Embankment, the riverbank, Grange Gardens and the streets around. And we collected a whole load of flytipping - including a hoover, 2 bar stools, a suitcase, a load of sofa cushions and a Christmas tree! Plus 3 supermarket trolleys dumped on the streets.

It was great to be joined by @rungrangetown, who ran straight over from @grangemoorparkrun. Thanks for coming along to help us keep Grangetown tidy and hope to see you at future litterpicks!

Nice to meet Dave from Cardiff Council’s cleansing team, who came along to take away all the bags - thanks Dave and see you after our next one.

Pleased to give out a few more of our swanky new green #keepgrangetowntidy T-shirts today to regular volunteers. Today’s lucky recipients were Dean and his grandson Kayden, and Anna, Rhydian, and their three girls. Don’t forget you’ll get a T-shirt when you complete your 4th Keep Grangetown Tidy Litterpick!

Great to see #BigCardiffTidy is back this month! Groups across Cardiff will be joining forces between 18 September and 4 October to clean up their own area and make a real difference to our city.

We’re pleased to be taking part with our September Litterpick on Saturday 26 September 10am-12pm when we’ll be cleaning up Taff Embankment (meeting near the junction of Taff Terrace).

Everyone’s welcome and we love seeing families and dogs coming along! All kit is supplied and we have litterpickers for small hands. And afterwards we’ll have a well deserved cuppa and sandwich at @thegrangepub - thanks to Bryony, Bunny and team for your support.

Poncho Comedy Club is BACK! The comedy club night that became a critical stepping stone for the South Wales Comedy scene and helped to launch the careers of Cymru comedy legends Elis James and So You Think You’re Funny? Winner Wes Packer and welcomed to the stage favourites Tim Vine, Zoe Lyons, John Richardson, Henning Wehn, Mitch Benn and John Robbins and more is returning next month to The Grange

The Folk Song Singaround is BACK….
2nd Tuesday of every month. Starting this coming Tuesday 8th…. from 8pm. Come and get your autumn started singing a Capella folk songs in an inclusive, welcoming space.
