It pleases me to announce the new @96_cougar album THE FINEST CRIME is coming out on cassette on 5/19 via the mighty @alreadydeadtapes. The link in my bio has the preorder, and you can stream the song “Tall Enough.” It’s a song I half jokingly wrote about Robert Wadlow because every folk hero deserves a song and the Sufjan Stevens song about him is boring as hell and doesn’t rock. I saw a lot of cool things in the UK, but without question this place was the highlight. The Marquis of Lorne. Referred to by a Londoner as “a proper boozer” and “the last cash only place in the fucking country,” the ‘quis is lined with resplendent maroon carpet and features a (very clean!) dual urinal bathroom that smells quaintly of Victorian piss. If you find yourself south of the river in London, please stop in. You owe yourself the pleasure.
