Day 8/30There will be more posts of my guy coming lol, but I love this one! I remember this song had just been released and it was a vibe (NOT my favorite song of his by a long shot lol, he know the one 😏🏆) so I had to support. This was during a time when I was dabbling and working on doing more live covers and trying to figure out a consistent sound with recording and mixing my drums. So I booked a whole room and session at @diamondsoundstudios (shoutout to Josh 🙏🏽🫶🏽🏆) just to record this for my guy! Years later we still traveling the world and burning down stages…and most importantly getting to a BAG!💰🏆Love you bro! This song is “F.O.M.O” by my BROTHER @evanacklin1 Shirt was designed by my brother @channingbailey and was apart of our merch/apparel collection at the time. Day 7/30 I tried to find it and looks like it got taken down already but this one was about that one insane time I got to play behind @johnlegend This was 2011 and this back when Jazz & Jokes existed (on 3rd Ave, I believe the venue there now is called Bowie’s). But anyways, long story shorter, I was there playing a show with THE @thecurtisfields and one of John’s artists (at least at that time). We got word that he may be there but couldn’t promote it. So I personally called all of my homies to tell them, “I can’t confirm, but if there is ANY show of mine you come too, it should most definitely be this one.” So before the show starts im on the phone outside the venue and walking down the street comes John and two bodyguards. I play it cool and “greet” him lol and then run inside.So boom, we doing the show and right before the THE song, Curtis gets on the mic and says something to the effect of “we’re about to sing one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists and maybe, just maybe a certain someone will come join me.” In the back the sound man is giving the “cut it out/stop” signal lolSo we start playing “Heaven Only Knows” and we’re grooving and having a great time. My head is down and Im grooving and right around 2nd verse/chorus I hear the crowd going nuts all the sudden. I look up and John walks on stage and sings the rest of the song with us. 🏆Afterwards, they escort him out the back by the band and he daps us up and tells us we sounded great 😁😁 such a high and highlight. Day 6/30So in 2022, I had freshly took the leap and quit my day job to pursue music full time. I haven’t worked a day job since 🙌🏽🙏🏽.As God would have it, KC calls me and asks “hey Craig how would you like to go to France and play some drums and fun music at a Brass Band Festival in TWO weeks (I didn’t even know those existed, dam sure have never even been to a brass band show). I of course, without asking details said yes, because before then I had never played a show internationally and I trusted KC. So they scrambled and got flights, I went to ONE “rehearsal” and @gubernaught showed and told me some stuff about the music and said “its easy, you’ll be fine” lol. I literally met the other guys for the first time at the airport in NY. Immediately on the initial vibe check, they passed with flying colors lol but still nervous cause I had NO clue what I was walking into lolWe fly to Iceland on our layover and then to Paris. The festival was in Bessine which is about 3-4hr drive from Paris. We get to this small town, got pizza at a vending machine in the middle of nowhere lol and that started the week.These slides were from all the performances, we did at @bandafolies we did like 6-7 sets EVERYDAY 😩.The last slide is the most epic. It was one of the last nights and Matt and the crew decided they wanted to do Rage Against The Machine “Killin In The Name Of”. At that moment I had NEVER heard that song, and Kaleb was going to lead it vocally which meant I had to play drums on this (if you know that song, you know lol). As you can see from the slides, the people were incredible and the love we got was even more insane. Love these guys 🫶🏽🏆In conclusion, I have to say RIH Kaleb 🥺🫶🏽, it was so fun playing beside him the whole week. Day 5/30This one Im dedicating in love and support of my friend @omgsunnyd! INCREDIBLE artist, VOCALIST, songwriter, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, costume design, video director and editor, content editor, manager…ok, you get it lol , she wears ALL the hats and then some (Sunshine if I left any out, please let me know lol 🫶🏽)I love Sunshine and her music so much, its super fun, so many different styles and blended genres and it can be very challenging. She’s one of those artists, who trusts you and will absolutely give you the green light to go nuts (in taste and good reason of course) and its been a minute since we’ve done a show together (dont worry Sunshine we will resolve that soon). But the full band shows with the horns (shoutout Jakub, KC and Sterling) were INSANE! This clip is from January of 2023 at @endnashville. (Day 4/30) Shoutout to my @strangecoband fam! Love you and miss you guys! I got the call from my guy @jackbinkerd to come do a rock show. I thought to myself, I haven’t played Rock for real since high school (I was in a rock band in high school). Im always up a for a challenge, and it didn’t require double bass 😩😏🏆. This show was (July 2025)Chris, the lead vocalist, was looking for a videographer for this show. At the time, @theundeadbeats had just did a video shoot in East Nashville where I met the amazing @hollonbeasley who Micah hired. So I referred her to Chris and boom! Day (3/30)(January - 2013) This was not only my first live hip hop show but my first time putting together a band and band leading for a hiphop show! This was at The Rutledge (Shoutout to Frank lol iykyk). I was jamming alot with the homies @duttymyck and @mr.headies so much. This was during the R.O.A.R (Roots Of A Rebellion) days and they were on 🔥🔥! 🏆🏆Shoutout to @motion.picture.montana , and Bang Out Ent (the truck was legendary- photo at the end of the video) This was before @fastmoney_theconnect lol this was the Fluid Outrage days!
