May 14th, 2024, my first open mic. 2 years, DAMN.
What started as a drunken pipe dream in basement bars, performing for the same 7 keepers of the realm… somehow turned into real crowds, real community, and people who actually get the ~ViSi0N~
UPS and DOWNS that come with dealing with shiesty people who care more about their image and ego more than keeping the scene safe and welcoming and not protecting gatecreepers, but alas, more UPS then downs. I’ve been sober since Feb 5, 2026. That might not sound like a long time but after years of being the worst version of myself, it finally feels like I’m getting back to the version of me I am happy with, Also lost 50 lbs
(And NO, not Ozempic… I can’t even afford Taco Bell f@&$ YOU ALCOHOL) started taking care of myself, and for the first time in a long time I don’t actively want everything to end.
Shoutout to my job for giving me real purpose I love waking up and hanging with the homies every day, ALSO if you’re a creative, autistic, neurodivergent human, working with people with special needs will change your life in the best way. YOU WILL THRIVE!!!
My ahh Slowly building something online and around town and finally finding the right people, the right rooms, and the right communities that actually support underground artists,and keeping the scene and communities alive and welcoming. Shout out to y’all, you know who you are, and of course my slippery river rock for just being❤️ 😉🤮🤢🤮🥲💀
