Home the long way round - Very pleased to of won an ebay auction for a GL2. As a photographer/filmer, you never forget your first real camera. Prior to owning the Canon GL2 I would sneak my parents home movie camcorder (Panasonic PV-GS85) and take to the streets to film skating with friends. That camera got old fast and I wanted more quality than it could produce. Enter the GL2. I literally got my first job to fund the $800 this camera sold for (on kijiji all the way in Toronto). My dad planned a trip for me and the homies to snag it/skate the city for a couple days. To baby the heads in the tape deck I would capture my footage on a Canon ZR 500 (VERY lucky my family PC had firewire connection). Eventually I sold the camera to fund upgrading to a HD JVC video camera. Happy to leave tapes in the rear view mirror, but I will be converting this to a digital SD card set up and shoot some small projects with it to show all those VX fan boys the power of Canon L glass/ Canon color science. My origins of a filmer began on this camera and even now it still is a quality piece of tech that could handle what ever you throw at it #skateboard #videocamera #Canon #gl2 by @thehammersquad

Filming has officially concluded for The Hammer Squad Video (for real this time haha). During a quiet beachfront sunset in Godrich we had our celebration feast with some pier hits. Thank you to everyone who has been supportive through our dive into overtime. We all work full time jobs and only get so many days to film.
