POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
As I was reflecting on the past couple months on my life, I realized a step of obedience that I had completely skimmed over.

A few months ago, I posted a reel talking about how this account was about was all about what God wanted to do with it. And ever since then, I’ve been prompted with many different thoughts and ideas, but I never had the courage to post them.

There’s been times when I thought about making a new account and posting on there, but it literally contradicts everything I committed to a few months ago.

Since I posted that reel, I haven’t taken any steps towards advancing the Kingdom, and recently that’s been convicting me in ways it hasn’t before.

So that’s why I decided to post my testimony. Because while I may have missed out on three months of obedience, I’m refusing to miss out on any more. by @thehenrydube

different country, same God 🇬🇹

behind all the testimonies, sermons, long days, short nights, gospel conversations, and expectant hearts was a move of God unlike anything i’ve ever experienced.

it was incredible to see what God could do through imperfect but surrendered people. something shifts when you’re pulled out of your comfort zone, placed in a new culture, and have to depend on the Holy Spirit for provision, direction, courage, and even words to say.

i also learned that God’s love stretches beyond words. i didn’t need a translator for people to know how much Jesus loved them. not even a language barrier could stop the advancement of the gospel.

while God moved powerfully in my life, what He’s building in guatemala is worth so much more. stepping aside and letting God do what He does best is something i will never forget.

satan better look out. our mission is just getting started.

i’m having a hard time describing the past two weekends. they gave me space to step away from the noise i usually live in.

early in high school retreat, my pride was at an all-time high because i felt like i knew everyone and needed everyone to see. session 3 didn’t hit as hard as expected, and although i had a great time, monday came and i was right back to the old routine. stuck in sin, idols back in first place, screen time out of control, and spiritual disciplines back to zero.

i came into middle school retreat with similar expectations, but i love it when God proves me wrong.

leading a small group was a new experience for me, but i felt like God led me most when i was supposed to lead. the worship was powerful. i cried in three of the sessions. and God exposed lies i’ve been believing about myself. i was set free from the pride, guilt, insecurity, and shame that comes from living an overly spiritual life on the outside but an empty one the inside. now, i’m fully committed to being who God wants me to be and wholeheartedly pursuing my calling.

winter retreat was exactly what i needed, and since i got home i’ve been learning to smile while God does surgery on the places i can’t fix on my own. it’s gonna be a long journey, but i’m down to go wherever God leads.

i’ve got one year left. winter retreat 2027 is gonna be a movie. taken in Woodlands Camp by @thehenrydube

11/3/24. One year ago today, I made a decision that changed my life, and my eternity. I was previously baptized at only seven years old, but it was only because my sister and best friend were also getting baptized the same day. But on this day one year ago, I made the decision to go all in for Jesus, and I made it a point to say yes to everything I felt like God was asking.

As a result, I rededicated my life to God in February at Winter Retreat, went to Brazil in April, experienced life change at Camp in July and Revival Nights in August, and I’m blessed with the opportunity to go on a scout mission trip to the United Kingdom in January and Guatemala in April. I’m also discerning a call to ministry. Not to mention, the community God has blessed me with and put around me is truly special. I don’t have enough room to tag everybody, but if you’re reading this, I love you and I thank God for you every day.

So on this day, one year later, I look back with so much gratitude. All of these little moments have led into purpose far greater. What started as a step of obedience became the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m not who I was, and I don’t ever want to be. I give all the glory to God for everything He’s done, everything He’s doing, and everything that’s still to come! by @thehenrydube

Blessed to say I went 3/3 at camp 💯

But behind going 3/3 is now a big part of my testimony. Every year my parents would make me come to camp, and I never really wanted to go. I thought of it as something to check off a to do list, and I would come in with closed fists and wouldn’t expect God to do much at all. And this year on day one when I heard we would be in Luke 15, I thought the same thing: that God wouldn’t show up. I knew the first few sessions weren’t for me and I mentally checked out. But God changed everything on day 3. Everyone was hyping up session 4 but I was tired and because of that I wasn’t expecting God to move in me at all, but one of the worship pastors said something that stuck with me. She said “It’s okay to have a joyful shout of praise, but it’s also okay to weep at the feet of Jesus this morning.” They started singing and I broke down crying. I was so lost and all I wanted from God was answers, but experiencing His presence told me all I needed to know. That He was with me. I ended up getting prayed over and anointed with oil at the end of the session, and the Holy Spirit spoke through Dave in the last session, and I reclaimed my sonship. For too long, I’ve worked to do everything and be a servant of God, when in reality I’m called to be His son. I’m so grateful for what God did, and the friendships I built and am building.
“My son, the father said, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.”

This was easily the most amazing week of my life. This was a life-changing experience impacting the children of Atibaia and advancing the kingdom of God.

The week was filled with a combination of funny moments, like me licking deodorant, doing the worm, or using my blanket as a towel, but also deep spiritual moments, like hearing testimonies/devos and being called into ministry.

First, I want to thank God for calling me on this trip. I want to thank some interns and staff members for their willingness to serve and make us comfortable @_david.jones_ @liandrosa7 @sarahs2brasil @cadedeus @edu_viana_lm_ @moretinigih @ciannabenson @jacob_ross21 and @yesthisiseli I also want to recognize the members of our team who God blessed me to serve with @_chasgrey @tommybirkle2 @harris.teague @_benmcgovern @jacksonwhite415 @emmadube464 @_elliequeenn @annistonmayfield @carrington_sims @haydenwmangum @scroggshailey @liz.suwala It was a joy to be a part of this trip with yall and all of you have a special place in my heart. I want to leave you with one thing: Our Brazil mission trip may be ending, but our American mission trip is just beginning. Go share the good news of Jesus with someone today! God Bless! by @thehenrydube
