Finding time to fix up our lake house, raise four girls, and remodel flip homes in our spare time.

POSTS STORIES REELS

Anyone else super good at getting projects 95% done and then taking three times as long to get to that full 💯? Three months later and all the finishing touches in this $1000 powder bath reno are done. That makes two bathrooms down, the biggest yet to go! by @thehermanhome

After weeks of prep work, we're finally to the fun part where it feels like real, tangible progress! If you need me this weekend, I'll be here tiling my little heart out above that WHITE (not blue 😉) bathtub. by @thehermanhome

It's happening!! We are only two weeks behind schedule already, so off to a great start. 😂 by @thehermanhome

Nothing ever stays the same for long. Sigh. This weekend we got a new bed in our room which snowballed into changing all the beds in every room. Naturally. No more cribs for babies and I'm kicking myself that I don't have any great pictures of this nursery that turned into a big girl room overnight. 😭 I knew this day was coming, but I still lost my crap over it. The twins turn 3 this week, and I think the ugly crying is just beginning. by @thehermanhome

We are gearing up to remodel the girls bathroom downstairs and the more I look, the more indecisive I become. White? Grey? Wood? Floating? Crap, should I just go to Ikea? I love it all! 😂 I keep coming back to this simple, beautiful, classic bathroom by @studiomcgee (who can do no wrong). But watch, tomorrow I'll be all modern and moody. 🙄 .

Imagine my dismay to find out she had brown "e's", not brownies in that pan. Well played, elle. #aprilfools by @thehermanhome

There's nothing quite like a quiet, clean house in the morning before everyone wakes up. Not that this view from 30 minutes later isn't great also. 😂 by @thehermanhome

Because if one board and batten project in a month is good, then two is even better, right? It wasn't quite as easy with 4 kids and textured walls, but it's still definitely a weekend project and with this whole wall coming in at just about $100, it's honestly one of the biggest bang for your buck projects out there! by @thehermanhome

We gave my mom the gift of board and batten this Christmas. Such an easy project! I couldn't believe it. We knocked it out from start to finish in half a day. The fact that we didn't have any kids running around may have been a factor too... by @thehermanhome

The wrapping paper had a certain in your face festivity you just couldn't miss, but I think I like this Christmas fireplace better. Also, I can't stop thinking about painting that teal cabinet black or navy. 🤔 Thoughts? by @thehermanhome

I found all these pretty little oranges with tiny happy faces drawn on them with sharpie after Thanksgiving dinner last week. So grateful for happy kids, and that they restrained themselves with the sharpies to only color on the oranges. 😉 by @thehermanhome

The twins took off and threw two ornaments for every one the big girls hung. 😂 Now that they're in bed, it's my turn to go back and spread a little love above the 3 ft mark. Or maybe put it all above the 3 ft mark this year... by @thehermanhome
