“when you support a local restaurant, this local restaurant, you are supporting a family of opossums, two iguanas, 20 families of humans, and a cat named Nina.” 🥰 @bonitatulum

We’ve had an unexpectedly hectic start to 2024, which has meant limited posting and lots of ordering in. Good to see it’s at least helping a variety of heartbeats. by @thehexicans

We’ve had a lot of unexpected, scheduled/rescheduled, and trips-within-trips kind of travel lately. But in between we happened to be in Tulum for Dias de los Muertos/Hanal Pixan. I so admire the Mexican traditions of honoring life after death. Having just come from celebrating the life of my bonus Grandma, dealing with ongoing complicated family health issues, and the general state of the world, this year was particularly poignant.

Of course Instagram would pull its duplicating photos trick when my access to internet is intermittent. Here’s a repost with a few less fonz photos.
