🌲 A look inside my French Trade Haversack!

Currently exploring Norway with my haversack from @thehiddenwoodsmen . 🇳🇴

I like to keep my kit simple and travel light, especially when I’m out exploring for the day. I try to carry versatile gear that I actually use and that doesn’t weigh me down.

A map, compass, and binoculars are always part of my setup, especially when exploring unfamiliar places or looking for wildlife.

8x42 binoculars for scouting the area and observing wildlife. Spotted an Elk 🫎 on my first day here in Norway 🇳🇴

US Poncho from @helikontex ! Big fan of that poncho, makes a great shelter if you want to rest a bit, make a fire and drink some tea

My Tenskum Bush Tool I forged last year + my leatherman, Strop and ferro rod

Can’t go out with some good snacks! Really enjoying this Elk sausage 🫎

@exotac makes these great, simple and small helpers. Big fan of the lighter sleeve and the pocket field repair kit with needle, thread and gorilla tape

I like to carry the small @silkyeurope pocket to process some fire wood or even collect a tree burl when I find one

Super light and simple headlight with a red light option :)

I often use the poncho to make a quick shelter, never leave with out mit Quick deployable ridgeline :)

Really like this incredibly light waterfilter from @katadyn_group - here are plenty of water sources in Norway 🇳🇴

Simple first aid ⛑️ kit and hygiene wipes

This canteen from @keitheurope fits very well in my haversack and I love to make tea with the nesting cup while being outside

Honorable mention: all the things you can craft beeing outdoors- for example this wedge is a great helper and works incredibly well to split big parts of wood :)

This lost hiker rescue kit started with a viewer request on YouTube and it led me to approach the idea a little differently.

If you become lost on a day hike, your priority isn’t living indefinitely in the wilderness. It’s staying safe, maintaining your body temperature, securing safe drinking water and making yourself as easy as possible for rescuers to find during those first 24–48 hours.

That’s why this kit focuses heavily on signaling. A Storm Whistle, signal mirror, chem lights, headlamp, fire making supplies and an electronic SOS beacon give me several ways to attract attention during the day or at night. The poncho, water bags, Aquatabs, survival bars and dependable fire starters help cover the basic needs while waiting for help.

It isn’t designed to be a miniature bushcraft camp or packed with every possible gadget. Everything has a clear purpose to get found, stay safe and make it through the first night or two.

Brookwood Covert Woodland

First quick look at this very rare pattern.

I was looking for this pattern for a really long time,it’s one of the most visually pleasing patterns in my opinion,there are so many little details in this pattern it never gets boring to look at,swipe to pictures 7-9 to see the pattern close up.

The performance is decent on these pictures but overall it’s a little to bright for my taste,check for picture 6,in some spots,especially in diffused light it’s just a bright mismatching blob.Distance and proper lighting seems to be mandatory to bring out the full potential of Brookwood Covert Woodland.

Further testing will follow.
