POSTS STORIES REELS

Finally, a dream turned into reality — achieving the India Book of Records by successfully completing the dream ride to all 12 Jyotirlingas and the sacred Chardham with my dream bike, “The LYO.”

Maximum distance covered by an individual in a solo motorcycle expedition for visiting all Jyotirlingas and Char Dhams

The record for covering the maximum distance in a solo motorcycle expedition for visiting all Jyotirlingas and Char Dhams was set by Chandan Kumar K. A. (born on February 16, 1998) of Chintamani, Karnataka. He travelled 10,695.6 km (as per the odometer readings) in 20 days from April 20, 2026 to May 10, 2026, covering all 12 Jyotirlingas and Char Dhams, as confirmed on May 11, 2026.

This ride would never have been possible without the constant support of my family and friends. A special thanks to my ride mates from Throttle Kannadigaru for standing by me throughout this incredible journey.

From helping during breakdowns and repairs to giving me the mental strength to keep going, countless strangers became a memorable part of this ride. Their kindness, encouragement, and support along the way turned this journey into something far beyond just a ride — it became an experience filled with humanity, brotherhood, and unforgettable memories. by @thehimalayan_dream

Unplanned Detour to a Wonder

Some trips are best when left unplanned. During my ride across India for the 12 Jyotirlingas, I happened to pass through Taj Mahal and decided to make a quick stop — and it was completely worth it.

The craftsmanship, the symmetry, the sheer perfection of every detail truly make it a wonder of the world. What made the experience even more special was meeting an amazing guide who turned out to be far more than just a guide — he became the artist behind the lens and captured some of the best pictures and memories of my life.

Sometimes the most beautiful experiences come from the roads we never planned to take.

To know oneself is to study the roots from which you grew;to carry the rich heritage of your state is to ensure those roots never wither. by @thehimalayan_dream

Badami: The Chalukyan Capital

Carved into the fiery red sandstone, Badami whispers tales of a glorious past, where art and divinity intertwine. Its magnificent caves bring to life the 18-armed Nataraja, Narasimha, Vishnu, Mahishasuramardini, and exquisite Jain sculptures. Along the serene Agastya Lake, the Bhoothanatheshwara Temple glows in the golden sunset, while playful Hanuman langurs add a touch of life to this timeless canvas of stone, spirituality, and splendour.

Badami: The Chalukyan Capital

The glorious rule of Immadi Pulakeshi (Pulakeshin II) marked the golden age of the Chalukya dynasty. Ruling from Badami in the 7th century CE, he expanded his kingdom through remarkable military victories and efficient administration. He successfully resisted the north Indian emperor Harshavardhana near the Narmada River. His reign witnessed the flourishing of art, architecture, trade, and culture, establishing Badami as a powerful centre of Chalukyan glory and heritage.

HAMPI: The Lost City

Hampi was once a grand and beautiful city and the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. It was famous for its beautiful temples, stone chariots, palaces, and detailed carvings.

In 1565, the city was attacked and badly destroyed. Over time, it became a city of ruins. Today, we can see the remains of its temples, buildings, and monuments surrounded by huge rocks and the Tungabhadra River.

Hampi reminds us of India's rich history and amazing architecture. Though much of the city is lost, its stones still tell stories of its glorious past.

Queen of the Hills

A dream tiger in a dream landscape. The moment we arrived, the tigress disappeared into the bushes. As I quietly manifested a glimpse of her standing on the boulders, her tiny cub suddenly appeared, making its way through the bushes at the top of the hill. And then, after what felt like an eternity, the dream came true.

The mother emerged, walking along the hill, marking her territory. She paused, looked straight at us, and held that intense stare for a couple of minutes.A fleeting moment in the wild, but one that felt absolutely timeless.

Some dreams are not imagined… they simply happen in the wild.

Thank you @chethan.bandipur for making this dream come true.
