FAFSWAG x DOCUMENTA15

It’s almost been a decade since I’ve been apart of this family / arts collective. Tonight we heading off to Kassel Germany 🇩🇪 to represent Aotearoa in one of the most iconic exhibitions ever #documenta15 . So excited to be meeting artists from all over the world and to exchange knowledge and learn more about serious things going on around the world. From South Auckland to the world and honestly this is only just the beginning…

FETŪ x FETU’U
- Moe Laga in collaboration with Cypris Afakasi
WED 11 JUNE, 8.30PM

A JOURNEY THROUGH THE CELESTIAL AND TERRESTRIAL, THE SACRED AND PROFANE.

A new work by legendary performance artist, Moe Laga delves into profound themes of grief, god/s, taboos, sex, pop cultural witchery, and the VĀ. Known for her visually striking and dark humour, Fetū x Fetu’u chronicles the multifaceted experiences of Moe Laga as a Samoan Fa'afafine born in Aotearoa, grappling with the complexities of life in South Auckland, underlined by the duality of “Stars” and “Curses” . by @thehoodsupreme

“ Beneath this celestial canopy, this tapestry of light,
Spangled overhead in endless night,
Each star a beacon, each star a curse,
Woven tight in the universe’s verse…”
