You can see here how swollen her fetlock is, I’m hoping in a week there will be a significant difference and it will be decreased and we’ll see more definition. I had to set the Epona shoe far back to support the heel area because her heels are pulled far forward putting her weight support in front of her leg and not under her. That creates a lot of stress on the tendons and ligaments which is why she’s not healing. IMO. Now let’s see how she walks. by @thehorsessole

This is Belle, grey QH mare. She has a history of navicular and has been doing well barefoot until she got some sort of injury to her foot (internal structures). She had surgery to the tendon and bursa at the site of the navicular bone. From what I understand small slits were put into the tendon. She didn’t heal well from it. The fetlock and heel bulbs are very swollen and she’s still very lame. Surgery was back in August. The whole bottom of the hoof is grown forward. She was put into steel shoes and got worse. Today I’m cleaning out over growth of bar. Cleaning up the heels that are bent and collapsed in. Then putting on Epona shoes. by @thehorsessole

Babies need bodywork too!!! They jump around, wrestle and sometimes tumble. Put their heads through fences, pull back and do a myriad of things to themselves. Some have unbalanced shoulders which can cause unbalanced feet and posture and move into their teeth. With a balanced trim and bodywork, help give your babies the best start in life. by @thehorsessole
