CHAPTER #16 NÔMADE TEMPLE IBIZA🌴 - AUGUST 2026

I remember the first time I (Laura) was in Nômade Tulum, the hotel recently opened and I was living in Cancún at the time. I was truly amazed by the beauty, the cozyness, the attention to detail, the quality of the food and how cool and charming everyone was.

That was one of the hotels that stayed with me all of these years and how crazy life can be that now that I live in Ibiza, they just open @nomadetempleibiza in Portinatx, the most untouched and nature-fueled area in Ibiza. The rawest. Perfect for a hotel like this.

THE ROOMS 👁️ We stayed at one of the biggest rooms (of their 180) facing to the pool with a beautiful terrace that we share with some friends after dancing at @danteshifibiza the listening bar they have inside. So well curated in musical and aesthetic terms. The vibe was the coolest.

THE FOOD 🌮 We had dinner the first night at TAVLA, the mediterranean restaurant. We had the spicy moussels and the arrachera tacos with fries. Delicious.
They also have an omakase experience (KUU JŪ) in the rooftop that we can't wait to try next time!

We recommend the beach chiringuito, 4FUEGOS, where we had an amazing lunch the next day.

THE POOL 🩵 melts with the sea. Its also salty (which I appreciate) and the music is not loud (another point gained) and well curated depending on the time of the day.

THE MUSIC 🪩 plays a leading role in this massive project that houses not only the beautiful listening room (Dante's Hi Fi) but a Recording Studio, a club named TEMPLO, inspired in M.C Escher universe, that comes into reality thought brutalist arquitecture.

A place that would give a lot to talk about in the island. They open really soon!

THE SPA 💆🏻‍♀️ Gön House of Healing it's a total retreat for body and soul. Sourounded by natural materials, they offer a complete circuit of spa with massages and treatments to recharge energy.

The pool from pic 18 reminded us of a mexican Cenote, It rain a little while we were there and it was insane to feel the rain into the warm water.

What can we say...We loved It.

The fachades of @concept_hotel_group are full of architectural details that pays homage to different styles and movements.

We’ll tell you a bit more about each one:

@cubanitoibiza it’s inspired by 1950s Havana charm. Pastel tones and a touch of old school glamour.

@paradiso_ibiza Art Deco inspired by Miami’s Ocean Drive in the 80’s. It captures the energy of an island that lives between the beach and the dancefloor.

@doradoibiza it’s a Mediterranean dream with a rock soul. The coast with an electric guitar in the background.

@romeosibiza takes inspiration from the Love Motels on America’s Route 66 and all the classic road movies.

@grandparadisoibiza It’s a classic Art Deco inspired by Miami’s South Beach and the timeless luxury that nods to the golden age of Classic Hollywood.

@mongibelloibiza inspired by the Amalfi Coast of the 70s with a Mediterranean touch. Warm ochre tones, terracotta details and relaxed sun dreched vibes that bring the Dolce Vita to life.

@tropicana_ibiza it’s a MiMo (Miami Modern) tropical kitsch. A playful mix of lines, bold prints and tropical motifs. Fun, colorful and unapologetically over the top.

@losfelicesibiza Mid century Palm Springs. Clean lines and a laid back desert aesthetic. It channels that effortless California cool from the 60s taken in Ibiza, Spain by @thehotellovers

MEXICO HOTEL TOUR at @grupohabita FEB ’26 🌮🍹🇲🇽

We’re completely intoxicated by MX and its culture, people, wild nature, food, and of course, its hotels.

We explored five properties from Grupo Habita, founded by Rafael Micha and Carlos Couturier, a benchmark in Mexican hospitality where architecture, lifestyle and design meet.

We’ll start with the iconic boutique @condesadfhotel , located in the neighborhood of the same name inside a 1928 building restored by architect Javier Sánchez. Known for helping revitalize the Condesa–Roma area, it has become a meeting point for locals and travelers. Interiors by @indiamahdavi blend timeless design with the hotel’s central patio. Highlights: the huge private terrace and the rooftop.

Hidden in the Oaxacan jungle at Punta Pájaros, @terrestrehotel is a retreat of independent concrete-and-wood modules, each with its own rooftop and plunge pool. Sandy paths lead to shared pools, a brick-built spa, and the restaurant. Shrimp tacos are non-negotiable.

Our favorite stop was @hotelescondido a calm oceanfront oasis where the long pool melts into the sea and waves lull you to sleep. Dinner menus change nightly based on the day’s catch. Special mention to the coconut ceviche and the “Escondido” eggs with mole for breakfast. Huge thanks to Mario, the director, for the hospitality and hotel chats.

@hotelhumano in Punta Zicatela, designed by architect Jorge Hernández de la Garza with interiors by @plantea_estudio . Raw materials like concrete and ceramics define a surf-inspired atmosphere. The pool area and live-music rooftop afternoons were standouts.

And finally, @circulomexicano , a unique hotel in Mexico City’s historic center inside a 19th-century building with a terrace overlooking the Zócalo. Designed by Jorge Ambrosi and Gabriela Etchegaray, with interiors by Carlos Couturier and La Metropolitana, it feels like a calm refuge in the city’s chaos.

CHAPTER #15 TWA HOTEL AT JFK Airport - NEW YORK CITY - OCTOBER 2025 ✈️❤️✈️❤️✈️

The story of the @twahotel begins in 1962, a year charged with optimism and ambition in América. That year, James Bond was born with 'Dr.No' and the duo that set the tone for the saga: Sean Connery and Ursula Andress. 'Come fly with me', the hit album from Frank Sinatra was nominated for a grammy. It was the year of the Jet Age: air travel had become glamurous, the future felt close enough to touch and the country was looking skyward with confidence.

That same year, Concorde was born: Connie, the supersonic aircraft that would later redefinded speed, luxury and the romance of flying, and to which TWA Hotel pays subtle homage with a perfect replica re-converted in the coolest cocktail lounge. Such a shame it was closed when we were there.

Also in 1962, Trans World Airlines (TWA) inaugurated its new Flight Center at New York's Idlewild Airport (now JFK) designed by architect Eero Saarinen. The building was revolutionary: sweeping concrete curves, no right angles, and an interior that flowed like a continuous movement. Saarinen didn't designed a terminal; he designed a sensation. It was meant to capture what flying represented at the time: freedom, progress, elegance and a bold belief in the future.

As decades passed, air travel lost some of its magic, and the iconic terminal was closed in 2001. But its story didn't end there. Instead of being forgotten, the building was meticulously restored and reborn in 2019 as the TWA Hotel, transforming a modernist materpiece into a living time-capsule of mid-century glamour.

Today, the hotel preserves the soul of 1962: sunken lounges, split-flap departure boards, red carpets, Martini Bars and original typography (which we loved so much).

The TWA Hotel is much more than a place to stay. It's a celebration of a moment when America believed deeply in design, technology and possibility. A tribute to speed, style and the dream of flight. A love letter to aviation history, to a moment when the future arrived on a Runaway, dressed in curves and a perfectly tailored suit. by @thehotellovers

CHAPTER #14 CAN TRES FORMENTERA - OCTOBER '25

We always choose our neighbour island, Formentera, to rest and recharge batteries after the season is almost finish in Ibiza. We like to try different places as good Hotel Lovers and this time, we stayed at @cantresformentera 💘🍀

Probably the cutest place we ever visit there. So raw and full of beautiful simplicity, the hotel is located in the town of San Francesc and has 9 rooms as independent bungalows which we LOVE cause the intimacy is always a must.

We just got married in Asturias days before this stay so this was our first honeymoon before the real one comes (you'll see all the hotels and amazing places we're visiting, don't worry) so it was important for us to be in a peaceful enviroment and Can Tres was everything we were looking for after the emocional tsunami of a wedding.

THE BREAKFAST 🥓🍳 is outdoors in a charming wooden porch were everything is perfectly set for you to make your own fresh orange juice and all you can imagine. Almost feels like your at home preparing it, but with an upgrade in every sense of the word.

THE ROOM we got was a dream and It has a terrace were we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen for little teas and coffees in the afternoon. We also made a Cat friend that used to come for some treats🐈

THE POOL is the perfect oasis in a property surrounded by nature. Having breakfast and take a dip in the pool next to the porch is the perfect way to start the day💙

It was a delight to stay in a place that truly keeps the esence of beauty and simplicity the island represents. Thank you Sarah and the team for such a good treat. We'll keep going back!

CHAPTER #13 HOTEL SANTO MAURO 🛎️ MADRID, EVERY TIME OF THE YEAR.

📌 IN THE HEART OF MADRID, close to Museo Sorolla, sets up one of our timeless classic hotels that never goes out of style, @santomaurohotel a Luxury Collection Hotel.

🫰🏻This 19th century palace was once the residence of the Duke of Santo Mauro and his family and was also the fav of the Beckhams (pop culture aristocracy) when first arrived to Madrid and had no home yet, Santo Mauro was their home. Despite its luxurious offering, is an incredibly warm and welcoming hotel that always makes us feel at home too, wether we're enjoying a romantic moment or having fun with friends.

👀 The hotel is made up of three impressive buildings that have also served as the embassies of Canada, Romania and Filippines.

🎀 The palatial aura that this gem exudes is masterfully achieved and mantained by the renowned interior designer @lorenzocastillofe , with whom it forms a perfect aesthetic match. A renewed, contemporary aristocracy takes hold of you the moment you set foot here.

🛏️ THe HOTEL'S 49 ROOMS are divided into six different categories and each one is unique. Patterned wallpaper, perfect color combinations, decorative moldings...every corner it's a fairy tale. We're such fans of places that have the ability of transport you and Santo Mauro is definetely one of them.

🍳THE BREAKFAST is so good and always leaves me dreaming of the next time I'll take their Eggs Bennedict and delicious french toast.

🍽️ THE RESTAURANT inside, called La Biblioteca, is lead by chef Rafa Peña and manage to do a sofisticated, yet very spanish and mediterrean menu that is really well thought.

🌳🍸 The expresso Martini is one of Madrid's finest and you MUST enjoy it at the beautiful garden inside. An authentic Oasis of beauty and calm inside the city.

⭐THE SERVICE is just remarkable, people loving what they do and doing it at their best, taking the whole experience to another level of excellence.

We keep going back everytime we're in Madrid and we'll continue doing it because we truly LOVE this hotel so much. Thank you Fernando, the director, for taking care of us everytime.

LOS FELICES, THE FASHION HOTEL. MAY '25 - CALA DE BOU, IBIZA

For the second year in a row, the world's only hotel exclusively dedicated to the ever-thrilling world of fashion, is brought to us by the irreverent @concept_hotel_group that has the unique ability to transport guests to other places and eras. The meticulously curated mid-century interior design, inspired by 60s and 70s Palm Springs, is crafted by @ilmiodesign, the studio behind all 9 of Concept Hotel Group's creations to date.

THE ROOMS Each one is a mid-century dream come true: latticework, Sputnik-style lamps, sunburst wall clocks and Verner Panton's space age mini lamps. Everything is executed to perfection. The hotel's 113 rooms (from which 6 of them are the Villas dedicated to the top designers involved in the project, like Armin Heinemann -with us in picture 6- from the iconic Paula's Ibiza or @palomospain) are dedicated to both national and international designers, from established icons to emerging talents.

THE KIOSK Where guests can browse the coolest fashion publications (those hard-to-find magazines usually only available online) and a curated selection of fashion, photograhy & Ibiza related books. Some available for purchase at the minimarket, which also stocks amenities and quirky items from @toiletpaper_beauty

THE PALMS POOL CLUB Has 2 pools, yellow and pink. You can lay under she sun pretending to be one of the Palm Royale characters, enjoying a delicious cocktail.

THE FUTURO HOUSE inspired by the ones created by Matti Suuronen on the 70's is made out of fiberglass and stainless steel. The most original Backstage for a catwalk or a live performance.

CURATED BY & POP UP ROOM The hotel's traveling store it's led by @tots_alataula project this year. The store Showcase a selection of vintage pieces of high-end brands as well as brands from the designers featured in the hotel. The Pop-Up Room in the lobby, is a available for brands & designers, to show and sell their work.

THE RESTAURANT @bamboladigrossonapoletano
is the iconic gluten-free pizza of the island, with the most fun bingo on wednesdays!

CHAPTER 12 🛎️ HANNAH FORMENTERA, JUNE '25

Freshly arrived from the magical island of Formentera and we can still feel the calm and peace it radiates.

We spent the weekend ar the new @hannahformentera_official, right on the beachfront of Mitjorn, one of our favorites and one of the island's hidden gems.

THE INTERIORS 👌🏻The renovation of the hotel, previously known as Casa Pacha Formentera, is spectacular. Víctor Agudo (one of the masterminds behind Jondal Restaurant) and Óscar Romero have managed to revamp the interior design with the invaluable help and refined taste of José Comins and Alex Díaz, who travelled around searching jewels and filled every corner of the hotel with marvelous antique pieces. From the original 60's bar that greets you at the entrance and lights up at night (something Diego absolutely loved) to the aithentic 50's Japanese sideboard and the stunning shelves, vanities and lamps, which are true vintage treasures.

THE ROOMS 🛎️ 18 rooms, each bearing a woman's name: Lucía, Rosa, Lola, Chloe...A true Paradise (the literal meaning of "Hannah" in Hebrew) and as one might expect, it's fully of feminine charm. The rooms currently exude a more island-inspired, Mediterranean vibe. However, we've been told they're next in line for a makeover, set to adopt this Cool "vintage meets Mediterranean Hannah" aesthetic.

THE RESTAURANT 🍽️🥇💘 It's just too good to be true! Chef Alberto Pacheco is on fire at the helm of the kitchen. We had lunch there in Sunday before heading to Ibiza, and It was the perfect finale to a weekend of absolute bliss. We enjoyed an Incredible Rotja -as fresh atls it gets- the trio russian salad with cod and red prawns, and for dessert, the Tigretón. It's better to try it than to have explained... Everything was a 10. Simply unbeatable.
Pd: The breakfast it's amazing too.

No wonder why Hannah means Paradise...🤔

Best location in Formentera, with Mitjorn just a barefoot step away, its cristal-clear turquoise waters, a stunning spot with excellent service (thank you Lucía and her team, for treating us so wonderfully) and a restaurant that's bound to make waves!

COSTA RICA Hotel Tour 🌴🦥🦜
#Chapter9

This wild & mesmerizing country stole our hearts from day 1. This is the summary of the stunning hotels we visited on our 10 day journey through Costa Rica🇨🇷

The charming @casa41 is a beautiful boutique hotel of 5 rooms at Escazú, one of the best neighborhoods in San José.

We got lucky enough to know every detail of this unique place, direct from his owner, our dear friend @mauriciodadaa who has renovated the old family home in 2016 to turn it into our favorite hotel in San José where the colorfully exquisite interiorism is curated by Mau and @charliejim

Thanks to Don Marco and his team for treating us so well. The breakfast is just the best we had in Costa Rica. Huevos rancheros and gallo pinto highly recommended! Also, they offer delicious dinner service under reservation.

After, we headed to @mawambalodge in Tortuguero, another property from @mauriciodadaa and his family. Mau was simply the best guide and friend we ever had in a trip and showed us the town and the amazing Sierpe River, also known as little Amazonas. We stayed in a wooden cabin surrounded by nature and the sound of guacamayas and loras waking us up in the mornings.

The hotel offers kayak tours where you can see caimans and funny spider monkeys on their natural enviroment.

Then we went to Puerto Viejo to visit @hotelaguasclaras owned & curated by @eleyoriko and her mum Elizabeth Steinworth, both incredible artists, reason why Art is a huge part of this hotel where guests can see their personalities represented in Elizabeth’s paintings, hand made mirrors and most of the furniture, which 70% of it were up-cycled and refinished by her, saved from the old Aguas Claras Cottages.

Elena’s personality is evident in Papaya Restaurant (that reminded us of Bar Luce in Milan designed by Wes Anderson ) and the Pavlova Sweets. The perfect combination of this two creative souls, live harmonically in the Victorian inspired property, right in front of the Caribbean Sea.

Our final stop was Guanacaste, Pacific Ocean. @azulhotelretreat is located at the beautiful Playa Azul where we found the peace we needed.
