Just taking the time to reflect on what’s been a month since launching @stillhetyoga and teaching my own community yoga classes. Whilst it’s been quite the balancing act of juggling the ‘day job’, teaching, training, setting up a business, admin and life, I can honestly say I love what I’m creating and feel truly grateful for each and every student that’s stepped onto their mats and trusted me to guide them in their practice. It’s an honour and a privilege 🙏🏼💛

I appreciate its early days for @stillhetyoga and my journey as a yoga teacher. Yes there has been self doubt, fear and a few tears but there has also been lots of support, words of encouragement, advice and laughter.

I’ve learned so much about myself in the past month - what I’m capable of along with areas for further reflection and growth. However, what I do know is that when I step on my mat as a yoga teacher I feel truly at home and that I’ve found my true purpose - my dharma.

I’m excited for what’s ahead for @stillhetyoga me and my little green mat. Thank you to everyone for being by my side on this adventure, there are so many of you I feel truly very blessed ✨💛🙏🏼✨ by @thehotsnapper

Me and my little green yoga mat have been through some things these past 3 years or so. From my lowest lows to now my highest high because this weekend I qualified as a Yoga Teacher, a huge personal milestone for me

As I take time over the coming days and weeks to reflect, absorb and integrate the past 6 months I just want to say a few thank you’s.

Thank you to my family and friends for their support and patience. I know I’ve not been playing out as much recently but your understanding of that and constant encouragement is every bit a part of my success as my hard work.

Thank you to @henniyoga and Emily for showing me the magic of what yoga really is. And to my @mulayogauk tribe for being my constant companion.

Thank you to my teacher @laurabarrettyoga for guiding me on this journey. You helped me to see what already lay within me and ignited a flame. When I felt discouraged or lacked self belief you made me see what I couldn’t. I’m honoured that you’ll forever be my teacher and mentor and as I embark on this journey I know you’ll be my biggest cheerleader as always.

Thank you to @sudhir.rishi and @veena.sudhir for your time and teachings in Granada. Spending time with you was both inspirational and joyful. If @laurabarrettyoga lit the flame you fanned the fire.

To my fellow YTT’s what a journey we’ve been on! Our motivations for being on this journey might have been different but our growth has very much been a collective experience. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved. We have a special bond forever. Thank you for your support. It’s a privilege to know you and call you friends.

Finally, thank you to my husband Ian @djnorx You’ve always believed I could and now I have! There’s so much I have to thank you for but most of all thank you for encouraging me to go follow my dream and find my true purpose.

With gratitude 🙏🏼 I love you all xx taken in Yoga Love Collective by @thehotsnapper

Today marks the end of my taking part in @mindcharity 20 mins of yoga everyday in November challenge….and I did it 🤸🏻‍♀️ A total of 1,510 minutes (which is 50 minutes per day) and a fantastic £370 raised in aid of Mind.

It has felt so good to move my body everyday, tuning in and listening to what it wants and needs. It’s grounded me, I’ve learned a lot and look forward to continuing my daily practice 🤍

But, this isn’t about me. This is about Mind and an opportunity to give back and raise awareness of the incredible work they do campaigning for better and more equitable mental health services as well as the support they give to individuals and families impacted by mental ill health.

Now for some thank you’s:

Huge thanks to Mind for their support during this challenge, especially Georgina and Anita for the daily emails 💙

Massive thanks to everyone who has supported me, not only with a donation (it’s not too late to do so 😉 link in bio) but with words of encouragement and genuine interest. I’m so grateful to you all 🙏🏼

Finally, but by no means least, a big shout out to @mulayogauk and my #mulamindtribe @lilromicz Ali @dordorbattle and @jen_joins We’ve all done so amazing we should be very proud of ourselves 💛 by @thehotsnapper

Today marks the half way point of my participation in @mindcharity November Yoga Challenge🧘🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ A total of 675 minutes (that’s an average of 48 minutes per day) and a whopping £315 raised so far!!

I’ve really enjoyed developing a daily practice it feels so grounding and I’m learning to listen to my body more, nourishing it with the movement it wants and needs. I feel more balanced physically and mentally. I look forward to rolling out my mat everyday whether I’m at home, in a class or even in a field, savouring and learning from every moment.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has already donated 🙏🏼 To give you an idea the difference your donation can make:

“£5 could help Mind give someone vital information with 40 of their information booklets. The booklets cover all kinds of mental health topics and give people trusted
information when they need it most”.

“£10 could mean Mind can answer a call to someone struggling with their mental health providing vital support and information about help in their area”

If you can and want to donate that’s great there’s still plenty of time. My Just Giving page link is in my bio or go to the highlights @mulayogauk to donate to one of my fellow #mulamindtribe yogi’s 🙏🏼💫 by @thehotsnapper

I am extremely proud to say that I am taking part in Mind’s November Yoga Challenge🧘🏻‍♀️

Throughout November me and my #mulamindtribe will be practicing at least 20 minutes of yoga a day to raise as much money as we can in aid of Mind to ensure mental wellbeing for all.

I’ll be posting updates here so you can follow progress, and if you can donate that’s great (my Just Giving page link in bio). To give you an idea the difference your donation can make:
