We’re excited to partner with Obodo and the Center for Population Health Initiatives (CPHI) to offer FREE health screenings for trans folx throughout July.

We have 25 slots available, with priority given to trans folx who are currently transitioning and haven’t checked their hormone levels in a while. Remaining slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’re not selected this round, we’ll keep a waitlist and hope to expand the program with future funding.

Come and Join us this Saturday as we are hosting our Potluck & Clothing Drive for our Trans and GNC Folx for Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈, and we’d love to have you there.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve poured so much care into putting this together. We’ve gathered clothes, shoes, accessories, and other essentials, hoping that everyone who comes can find something that makes them feel comfortable, affirmed, and seen.

But more than the clothing, we hope you leave feeling full in every sense of the word.

Come share a meal with us, Meet other people, Take what you need. Stay for the conversations, the laughter, and the reminder that community can be a place where you don’t have to explain yourself.

This Pride Month, we’re choosing joy, care, and each other.

Please register using the link in our bio so we can prepare for everyone joining us. And if you know someone in the community who could benefit from a warm meal, affirming clothing, or simply being in community, please share this with them.

We can’t wait to see you on Saturday. Happy Pride. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️ by @thehumanrightshub

For this month’s Book Club, we’ll be reading Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu.

Set in contemporary Zimbabwe, the novel follows the life of Vimbai, a hairdresser navigating friendship, ambition, class, gender, and survival within the intimate and complicated world of the salon. Sharp, layered, funny, and deeply human, the book opens up conversations around identity, secrecy, respectability, and the realities people carry beneath the surface.

Join us for an afternoon of reading, conversation, reflection, and community. Whether you’ve finished the book or you’re still making your way through it, there’s space for you at the table.

For this month’s Film Club, we’ll be screening a selection of short films from the L.A. Rebellion movement directed by Black female filmmakers whose works continue to shape conversations around Black identity, womanhood, migration, ritual, memory, and experimental storytelling.

The L.A. Rebellion was a movement of Black filmmakers from the UCLA Film School who challenged dominant cinematic language and created deeply political, imaginative, and community-rooted films that centered Black life on their own terms.

This screening features works by Julie Dash, Zeinabu Irene Davis, Ijeoma Iloputaife, and Barbara McCullough. Join us for an evening of film, reflection, and conversation.

For this month’s Holistic Healing Club session, we’re exploring meditation as a practice of grounding, care, reflection, and connection.

In celebration of Meditation May, Ande invites participants into a gentle, community-centered session exploring breathwork, somatic movement, guided visualization, creative expression, and communal reflection.

This session is especially for people who have felt disconnected, overwhelmed, burnt out, restless, anxious, or unsure where to place themselves lately. It’s also for people who have felt like meditation “isn’t for them” and want to explore softer, more accessible ways of reconnecting with themselves and others.

Come as you are. Let’s slow down, breathe, reflect, and co-regulate together 🤍

As part of our 2026 public health programming, we’re continuing the Trans Circle community sessions with a conversation focused on navigating the law and understanding everyday legal realities as a Trans person in Nigeria.

Across the past sessions, participants have engaged in conversations around transition, HRT, self-advocacy, and gender-affirming care. This next session expands those conversations into legal awareness, safety, and understanding how systems and policies shape everyday experiences.

The session will explore practical topics around rights, discrimination, identity, documentation, and navigating public life while Trans in Nigeria, while also creating space for questions, shared experiences, and community-centered discussion.
