(UPDATE: Flying Pig has relocated to Citygate at Level 2, just a few mins walk away from Golden Mile Complex)

What I ordered:
Crab Omelet Rice [$12]
- The rice is fluffy and soft. Combined with REAL big crab meat chucks with scrambled runny eggs is BOMBZ! The dish gets even better when you eat it together with its spicy-sour Thai chili that they provide with the dish! Not in pic: Moo-ping (forgot the price) was so super good as well!

I would totally and definitely go for it again and again just for this! Thanks to bf's mom for introducing this to us!!

📍Katong Shopping Centre •

Today is the 5th year Anniversary of dating my bf :)
Went to eat our favourite chicken rice from Katong Mei Wei chicken rice! The flavours hasn't changed at all. It is still very delicious! After that, we went to eat ice cream from Birds of Paradise (ordered Hazelnut - double scoop for $9)

It is indeed a very happy day! ☺️👍

Ordinary day…. But something tastes different!
Westies, rejoice! Your area just got interesting!

My partner and I had been wanting to try US PIZZA for the longest time, and I’m so glad we finally did!
Let’s just say we officially lost the battle against carbs and cheese.... 🍕🧀🍕🧀
We left the place with our tummies screaming for more room to breathe! 🤣

Here is what we ordered:
(1) 🧀🍕 CHEESEBOAT PIZZA
Is it a boat or is it a pizza? It’s a cheese-delivery haven! It was brought to our table fresh out of the oven and still piping hot. You can never go wrong with loads of cheese! It was so rich, creamy, and stretchy. Pulling the cheese really high was so satisfying!

(2) 🐟🍕 FISH AND CHIP PIZZA (My ultimate favourite!)
This is not your usual pizza — this is next-level fusion!
Have you ever seen this combination before? Well, now you have! It sounds like a wild experiment, but does it taste delicious? YES! The fish is actually crispy.
Pro tip: Squeeze the lemon juice over it. It elevates the taste to a whole new level!

(3) 🍖🍕 US FAVOURITE BEEF PIZZA
The classic crowd favourite! It is meaty, cheesy, and just plain good! It will gone in seconds!

(4) 🍄🍲 MUSHROOM SOUP
It was done to perfection! Creamy, earthy, smooth. It’s like a warm hug in a bowl.

(5) 🍟🧅 CURLY FRIES & ONION RINGS
You simply cannot go wrong with these golden oldies! They’re crispy and delicious enough to eat on their own.

(6)🥤🥤 TWO CANS OF FIZZY COKE
The best way to wash down all that glorious cheese and reset our palates to eat moreee!

Our Final Verdict ✨
We really loved the pizzas and we enjoyed ourselves a lot!

I was super lucky to be one of the 7 winners of @4hk_roasted’s Irish Duck giveaway!

My food partner-in-crime 🤣 and I headed over to their Bukit Timah branch around 8:30pm yesterday to collect our prize.

When we arrived, a friendly staff member let us know there’d be a short 10-minute wait while they prepared the duck fresh on the spot.

When the two big boxes were handed over, we couldn’t resist opening them right away.

WOW! The aroma was insane! The rich, herbal fragrance hit us instantly — so bold, so fragrant, so mouth-watering.

We took it home to share with my family members and let’s just say, the Irish duck didn’t last long... 😂 HAHAHA!

The Irish duck tasted incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavour! We literally (and lovingly) fought over the last piece. That’s how good it was! 😍🦆

Huge thanks again to @4hk_roasted for the amazing treat! It was definitely one of the best duck we’ve ever had in a while.

I can’t wait to be back for more... and yes, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for the next giveaway! 😆

Hello hello! Long time no post! 👋

Life's been keeping me busy lately, but I had to pop back on to share something sweet… like, literally sweet! 😍

I just devoured a Caramelised Banana Cake from Desert Dessert, and WOW!! I’m in love! 💛

The shop itself is such a vibe. Super well-lit, beautifully decorated, and full of delicious temptation. From Blueberry Cocoa Cake to Mango Cake, they have everything!
I was already drooling just looking at the cakes chilling behind the fridge glass... 🤤

Now onto the cake....
This Caramelised Banana Cake was so good! When I sliced into it, surprise!
There are real banana bits inside! There were also these crunchy bits (I am not sure what they were, but they made it 100x better!!) 😆
The texture was super soft and moist.
The flavour was just the right amount of banana. Mellow, sweet, and not too overpowering.

Please go give their cakes a try! They are scrumptious! Not to mention that they accepts CDC vouchers too!

Not a food related post but I just want to express my gratitude to be able to celebrate Singapore's 60th birthday live at the Padang!

On 9 August 2025, my partner and I celebrated Singapore’s 60th birthday – our Diamond Jubilee! What an amazing night it was! (The most surprising part was when our PM appeared playing his guitar! Everyone screamed loudly in excitement including us 🤣) We did not expect to see this special cameo!

The whole event was so well put together, and the performances were just incredible!! Thank you so much for performing super well!

Thankfully, the rain only came for a few minutes after the show ended.
Proud to be a Singaporean! 🇸🇬

Recently, I had the chance to try out cafe food items! This is my first time enjoying cafe food in an cafe setting. I am so excited! Hehe 🥰 As you know, cafe food/drinks can be really overpriced, but not from this shop!

All Day Breakfast Cafe 21 offers a good variety of breakfast menu from noodles to toasts to desserts and drinks. Not only do they look great on the menu but they are pretty affordable too, considered they are in the central area of Singapore!

These are some of the items that I had ordered:
○ Hearty Breakfast Platter -- $16.90
It has four pieces of buttered toast, two sunny-side ups, sauteed mushrooms, two pieces of chicken sausages, some cherry tomatoes and lettuces on the side.
(The Hearty Breakfast Platter tasted wonderful! It gets even better when I add some of the sauteed mushrooms onto the sandwiches. It elevates the flavour and taste by a lot!)

○ Crispy Chicken Cutlet Sandwich -- $15.90
It comes with two buttered toast sandwiched a crispy chicken with mayonnaise sauce, cheese and lettuce. It also comes with some french fries too!
(The Crispy Chicken Cutlet Sandwich tasted delicious too! The chicken cutlet were still crispy and hot when served!)

○ Thai Green Milk Tea -- $5
(The Thai Green Milk Tea tasted really great, not bitter but sweet! It was not diluted at all as it had some ice cubes in it.)

○ Brown Sugar Fresh Milk -- $5.50
It comes with boba jellies!
(The Brown Sugar Fresh Milk were great too! The boba jellies were chewy!)

[THEIR NEW DESSERT MENU!]
○ Two scoops of ice cream -- $4
> You are able to choose wither the same flavour or two different flavours depending on your preferences.)
For this, I go for taro ice cream and bubble gum ice cream. Oh my, I think I have just found my favourite ice cream flavour... that is TARO ice cream! It tasted REALLY AWESOME! It is soft, sweet and creamy!
The bubblegum ice cream were good too!
It had some gummies in it!)

HAPPY 58TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!

[NEW UPDATE] - Shen Xi Imperial Soup has opened a new outlet at Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC)!
Unit no. 02-24. (The prices remains the same)

My family and I went to Shen Xi Imperial Soup located within Food Republic in Changi Jewel, to have an early dinner.

This is what we ordered:
- Buddha Jumps Over The Wall (SGD $12)
- White Rice (SGD $1)

There were 2 chicken drumsticks in the "Buddha Jumps Over The Wall". We also found a few Japanese mushrooms, 2 baby abalone, fish maw and more! The soup is rich and thick. Everything in the soup is cooked to perfection, and they are absolutely delicious!

We left the place with a very filled tummy. We will definitely go back again!

Note: They only have this soup on every Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
You can refill the soup only once.

📍大众美食 Da Zhong Mei Shi
Location: Changi Village Hawker Centre, Unit No. 01-19
Operating Hours: not too sure (Google doesn't state the timing) but I went at 1230 pm

Out with bf to Pulau Ubin for a guided tour in the morning, got back to mainland at 12.20 pm. Couldn't decide on what to eat as I was starving so I decided to have a bowl of BCM since I haven't eaten this in years (I usually eat dumplings/wanton mee) 😅

Ordered BCM mee pok ($4)
There is a $5 version as well!
The uncle took less than 5 mins to cook my food as the queue wasn't long for his stall.

The noodles is springy and tasty, no alkaline taste. There are a lot of ingredients in it (such as minced pork slices, minced pork, braised mushroom and some lettuce), and it was well mixed with the tomato sauce! 😍👍

Ps: gave the fried dumpling to bf as I don't like fried dumpling.. personally prefers boiled over fried...

📍Rong Ji Roasted Delights 榮記香港烧腊
Location: Bedok Central (near AcuMed Clinic Bedok)
Operating Hours: 9 am to 9 pm DAILY

Usually, Asian families would eat rice for their meals. But for me? I eat noodles! 😍 (I don't hate rice, haha)

Being a huge noodle lover, I will always go for this stall's dumpling noodles as their food is really good (in my opinion) and affordable too! Less than $10 per meal! 👍

The cook gave me 4 big dumplings! The noodles were cooked to perfection and it soaked up the black sauce well! The dumplings had a little amount of prawn meat, a lot of pork filling and chives.

The price is $4.50 but additional 30 cents takeaway fee... 😟😭 Total cost $4.80 (still a reasonable price, considered the portion was decent and I was full after the meal)

Went out with boyfriend and his mom for weekend shopping and these are the food we ate!

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday: 11.30 am to 3 pm, 5 pm to 8.30 pm
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

[Pic 1] 红油抄手 Sze-chuan Spicy Wanton. Number 9 - SGD $6 (omg, this is super good!!!)

[Pic 2] 酸辣汤 Spicy & Sour Soup. Number 7 - SGD $2.50 (tried and not to my liking... too much vinegar in it but bf's mum loves it!)

📍from a vegetarian stall in the red zone section. Idk the name :(

#throwback to when boyfriend's mum, boyfriend and I were in the Punggol area to attend a OnePA event!

Had this Ayam Rendang (SGD $6) for my late lunch as boyfriend and his mom had other food.

The ayam is so tender and good with its rendang sauce! The tofu is also very good! Be aware, the rendang sauce is spicy. But very shiok la!! 👍

Overall, this meal is so good and I hope they will open one outlet in the East! taken in Punggol, Singapore by @thehungry.hamster
