A little behind the scenes from The Armoury in Vancouver… 🥁

Robin laying down the bridge for “Alone” with Art Of Dying.

One of our favourite moments in the track. 🔥

I always love the sound of a nice clean stratocaster. 🎸 This guitar part came out randomly in the studio with Brian Howes. I was playing his strat (that used to be Prince’s) and just testing out tones. I started strumming this “Under the bridge” style rythm to test the jangli-ness of each pickup. Brian stopped and said, “whats that? play that again!”
I was like, I’m just messing around really? Okay we are going to Funkytown I guess lol
This gave the verses a real new life and a driving forward rhythm . Guitar hooks underneath vocal hooks. But of course for the choruses we busted out the 59 Les Paul!;)
Keep streaming Alone! ❤️
