⚠️One month ago I shared the painful news of having to shut down TIA.

Many of you reached out with thank you notes and others asked WHY!?

Fair question. @theimmigrantacademy has been a labor of love. And the phase of life I'm currently in doesn't allow me to devote time to this community.

But then, something unexpected happened.

🔅I’ve been sitting on the biggest news of my life…
and every time I almost shared it,
I stopped myself because I wanted to make sure it was real first.

But now it is.

➡️Soon, I’ll announce something that will completely change the future of this community and honestly, I still can’t believe I get to say that out loud.

This page started with one immigrant girl trying to survive and succeed, life in America.

And somehow…
it turned into thousands of people finding comfort, guidance, and belonging here.

This is not just a “business update.”

It’s proof that immigrant stories matter.
That our experiences matter.
That what we build matters.

And this next step?
It’s for every single one of us who had to figure things out alone.

Some days the distance feels manageable.

⌛️The weekend of Sept 19, 2025 was the most chaotic for H1B visa holders and aspiring applicants.

From people disembarking the airplanes to getting a last minute ticket to fly back to US.

🛎From corporate giants sending SOS emails to their employees to stay put and employees having sleepless nights and thinking of what Monday would hold.

Only if the news was released in the right way with all the details, SO much confusion and dread could have been avoided.

🫤So now this is what we know after 3 different updates and I'm sure there is more to come.
