TRAIN CRASH PANIC NEAR KOTA โ€” BUT IT WAS A MOCK DRILL!

A major railway disaster mock drill at Gudla Station near Kota briefly sparked concern among local residents after a simulated collision between two trains was staged as part of an emergency preparedness exercise.

The high-intensity drill was designed to test the real-time response of railway officials, rescue teams, disaster-management personnel and medical staff.

The simulated scenario included โ€œtrapped passengers,โ€ requiring teams to coordinate evacuation, rescue and medical response operations at the site.

Although the scene initially looked like a serious railway accident, officials clarified that no real collision had occurred. The entire exercise was conducted to assess emergency readiness and strengthen passenger-safety systems. ๐Ÿš†๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš’๐Ÿฅ

A character appeared in his cartoons for 50 years.
That character never once spoke a word. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Meet R.K. Laxman creator of "The Common Man," India's most celebrated political cartoonist. Rejected by Mumbai's prestigious J.J. School of Art, he studied philosophy and economics instead, before his first full-time job as a political cartoonist alongside colleague Bal Thackeray.

In 1951, at The Times of India, he created "The Common Man" the bespectacled, dhoti-clad character who silently watched India's democracy unfold, cartoon after cartoon, for over five decades. His satire took sharp jabs at politicians and policies, yet was always praised for never turning bitter or cruel.

The Common Man went on to feature on Google's homepage, postage stamps, and even became an airline mascot. A statue of him still stands today.

Laxman passed away on 26 January 2015 India's Republic Day at 93.

F1 CARS SUDDENLY STRUGGLE FOR POWER! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐ŸŒง๏ธ

Formula 1 witnessed an unusual moment before the start of the rain-delayed 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix, with several cars moving at extremely slow speeds during the formation lap at Malaysiaโ€™s Sepang International Circuit.

According to the FIA, a rare combination of very low engine speeds, limited grip, wet-weather energy-management settings and the trackโ€™s sector layout contributed to a software issue that stopped the cars from properly redeploying electrical power.

The race start was temporarily halted as teams received an updated software release to address the problem. Once the update was implemented, the drivers returned to the circuit and the race finally got underway.

A bizarre technical issue that turned the F1 formation lap into an unexpected spectacle! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ

NASA's own computers failed.
A village boy from Bihar fixed it โ€” on his fingers. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Meet Vashishtha Narayan Singh โ€” a mathematical genius from Basantpur village, Bihar. At UC Berkeley, Professor John L. Kelley gave him five near-impossible problems โ€” Singh solved them using multiple different methods, instantly recognised as an exceptional mind.

He later worked at NASA during the Apollo mission preparations. When computers broke down mid-calculation, he reportedly solved it by hand, on his fingers โ€” and when the systems came back online, his numbers matched exactly.

In the early 1970s, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, which disrupted his career and years of his life. Despite everything, in 2014, he returned to academia as a visiting professor. In 2020, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri.

INDIA TAKES ANOTHER STEP IN HIGH-ALTITUDE AIRBORNE TECHNOLOGY!

India has successfully conducted the maiden flight trial of its Advanced High-Altitude Parachute (AHAP) at the Mudh Drop Zone in Nyoma, one of the countryโ€™s high-altitude airborne testing locations.

Developed by ADRDE (Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment), Agra, the static-line parachute system is designed to support the mass deployment of paratroopers in high-altitude environments.

The successful trial highlights Indiaโ€™s ongoing efforts to develop indigenous airborne and parachute systems capable of operating in challenging high-altitude conditions. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿช‚๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

A labourerโ€™s son built a drone prototype with just โ‚น87,000 and today, the Government of India has approved a โ‚น3.5 crore grant for his project. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Sarvesh Sharma, a Computer Engineering student from Himachal Pradesh, started with limited resources and a simple question: How can we make surveillance for our soldiers better?

From a โ‚น87,000 prototype to becoming part of Indiaโ€™s defence innovation ecosystem, Sarveshโ€™s journey proves that you donโ€™t always need big resources to build something big, you need the courage to start. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ by @theindia

He's called "Bihar's Second Mountain Man."
He dug a 3-km canal, alone, for 30 years. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Meet Laungi Bhuiyan โ€” a farmer from Kothilwa village, Gaya, Bihar. His village had no water for irrigation, forcing young people to migrate to cities just to survive. In 1998, with no machines, no government help, and no one joining him, he decided to dig a canal himself.

Villagers mocked him at first, calling the project "not feasible." He kept digging anyway โ€” every single day, for 30 years โ€” until he completed a 3-km-long canal that now brings rainwater to ponds benefiting over 3,000 farmers across multiple villages.

Despite his impact, he's received little formal recognition or support. He still lives simply, and keeps working even today.

This is his story. Swipe till the end. ๐Ÿ‘‰
