What an incredible way to kick off our Common Ground dinner series 🥢🌾

This new monthly series brings together talented guest chefs from different backgrounds and culinary traditions, pairing their unique perspectives with the seasonal bounty of Hermitage Farm for one unforgettable evening.

A huge thank you to Chef @masa.hamaya from @shokudochs for helping make our inaugural dinner such a success, and to everyone who joined us around the table. It was a wonderful evening of great food, great company, and meaningful collaboration.

#Ad Looking for a summer escape? @edmundsoriginal has transformed The Bower into a tropical pop-up that’s here through the end of August.

Guests can enjoy tiki classics like Mai Tais, Singapore Slings and shareable Blue Hawaiis alongside limited-time menu specials including the Hula Dog and Kahlua Pork Plate. Add tiki torches, reggae music, and plenty of tropical flair and you’ve got one of Charleston’s most fun seasonal patios.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential bakers and chefs of her generation, Nancy has spent decades shaping American food culture. An Outstanding Chef James Beard Award recipient, author of eleven cookbooks, and the visionary behind La Brea Bakery and the Mozza restaurants, her impact on the way Americans think about bread, baking, and Italian cuisine is immeasurable.

In this episode, Nancy reflects on the travels through Europe that forever changed her perspective on bread. At a time when many believed American flour simply wasn’t capable of producing the quality she admired abroad, she became determined to prove otherwise. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate five years of Skyline Lodge with a special anniversary edition of our Under the Stars dinner series. An evening where hospitality took center stage. Navy Yard Charleston welcomed our community for its Summer Social with an exclusive preview of Riva Mare’s wood-fired pizzas ahead of the restaurant’s rooftop opening this fall, accompanied by a live performance from the North Charleston POPS!.

Set against one of Charleston’s most historic waterfront destinations, the evening reflected the culture, creativity, and momentum continuing to define Navy Yard Charleston.
