For this client, we created a combination brow using delicate hairstrokes through the front and soft shading through the body and tail, helping to rebuild the shape and give the brows more definition and fullness.

The aim isn’t to completely change your brows — it’s about working with what you already have and creating a shape that complements your natural features. ✨

And remember, freshly treated brows will always appear stronger. During the healing process, the colour can soften by around 30–50%, although this varies from person to person.

Your top-up then gives us the opportunity to assess the healed result and make any final adjustments needed. 🤎

EVER WONDERED HOW A LIP BLUSH IS CREATED? 🤎

Here’s a little look at the process from outline to finished result, and what each stage actually involves. ✨

01 — THE OUTLINE
We start by carefully mapping and defining the lips, taking your natural shape, symmetry and desired result into consideration.

02 — BUILDING THE COLOUR
This halfway point shows the difference between the two lips — the bottom lip has had its first pass of shading, while the top lip is still untouched.

I build the colour gradually rather than trying to achieve the final intensity all at once. This allows me to work carefully with the skin and see how the pigment is sitting as I go.

03 — SHADING
I continue layering the pigment throughout the lips, building a soft and even wash of colour while working with the client’s natural lip shape.

04 — THE FINISHED RESULT ✨
The result is a more defined, balanced and enhanced lip, while still keeping the overall look soft and natural.

One thing I always want my clients to understand is that lip blush is a process.

The colour you see immediately after treatment isn’t the final healed result, and everyone’s lips will heal and retain pigment differently.

That’s why I don’t believe in rushing the process or going too strong too quickly. I prefer to build the colour carefully and assess how your lips respond, with the option to add more at your top-up if needed.

The goal isn’t to give everyone the same lips.

It’s to enhance your natural shape, tone and features in a way that still looks like you. 🤎

LIP BLUSH — WHY I BUILD YOUR RESULT GRADUALLY 🤎

I wanted to show you a little more of the process behind this lip blush, because a beautiful healed result isn’t just about the colour you see at the end.

We started with a soft, natural approach at the first session — carefully defining the lip shape and introducing colour without going too heavy too quickly.

Once the lips had healed, we could properly assess how the pigment had settled and how my client felt about the result.

She loved the first result, but wanted a little more colour and a brighter finish — so at her 6-week top-up, we were able to build on what we’d already created. ✨

And this is exactly why I don’t believe in going too strong at the first appointment.

SPMU is a process.

Your skin, natural lip colour, desired result and the way your lips retain pigment all play a part. Sometimes less is more to begin with, and we can always build towards more colour at your top-up if that’s what you want.

My aim is never to give every client the same intense result.

It’s about creating your result gradually, thoughtfully and with you — so we can see how your skin responds and make adjustments along the way.

Because I’d much rather build beautiful colour carefully than go too far too soon. 🤎
